Booked on Spring Offer; Can We Add Dining?

My Dsis and I booked at Pop with the 30% off Room Only Spring Offer through a TA. We added tickets. Now after much debate - I was against, she was for - we are adding the DDP.

The TA says Disney told her that because the Spring Offer booking window is up tomorrow, the payment for the DDP needs to be processed ASAP or it will put us outside the booking window and we'll no longer receive the 30% off.

I thought the DDP could be added up until 72 hours before arrival?

I called Disney and the CM asked me if we had added tickets to our room (yes), because if I had, then we could add the DDP anytime up until that deadline (is it 72? I didn't think to confirm!).

If we hadn't added tickets, then we could not add the DDP after tomorrow because we hadn't booked a package.

Confusing! Anyone have an answer? I paid the cost of the DDP to the TA late this afternoon but she says it might not go through in time.

To simplify - can I still add dining on a room/ticket package, after the discount booking window has closed?

Are you working with a TA that specializes in Disney? Not to bash her but it sounds like she's a bit confused. What are your dates??? If your room only discount has already turned into a package by adding tickets then you can add the dining whenever. Full payment would be due however if you were in the 45 day window for your trip.

That said I made changes for someone a week out. I've even done it closer but yes my understanding is 72 hours.

I think actually that the Disney rep may have confused her; I just don't understand why the CM's don't all know the same info or at least know where to look it up. It certainly wouldn't be magical if I ran my business that way!
