:banana:so surprised that I was able to book GCH studio today, it's always been missing a day here or there everytime i've checked in the past. Assume Feb is slow but figured w/President's weekend we'd have been shut out.

now to research the resort:goodvibesas I have no idea where the DVC units are located @ GCH. Have only stayed @ DLH in the past, but from walking thru GCH we felt it reminded us of 'home' - WLV.

Always have had great luck with DVC rooms in the past but was stumped as to what to add for special request, went with theme park view, upper floor:confused3any suggestions/hints from those who have stayed there?

Congrats to you and I am SOOOOO envious!!! I just called to book 3 nights at GCV for May 2012 and found out the first 2 nights are not available in a studio...so had to wait list! Darn it anyhoo, my fault for not callin yesterday which was exacty my 7 month mark.

Now I sit and wait to see how this plays out....will take any pixie dust I can!!

This resort is absolutely beautiful and I know you will love it!! Enjoy your Feb trip and I know you will get alot of guidance from others on the DIS.

We just returned from our 3rd trip the VGC - had a great time! I think you're request is a good one and having had rooms on all 3 sides of the wing I don't think any are bad. It just depends on if you want to see Pardise Pier and the action happening there, trees or the pool area. Lower floors of course will have the PP view blocked.

The villas wing was added on to the right of the resort if you are looking at it from the front and placed between the existing hotel and the Paradise Pier area of DCA. You have excellent access to the pool area, restaurants, spa, arcade and lounge. It's really pretty darn perfect IMO. :thumbsup2

We just stayed there for our "I'm not sure how manyth time". It's my favorite resort, probably because it's so close to home and we can go there often. The villas are down a walkway to the right of the lobby and they are all clustered in one small wing. There are only three villas on the sixth floor, and they are very quiet.

I can't wait to go back there next month, even if it is only for one night.

You will definitely love them! When are you going in February? I need to make a ticker for our 3 night trip we're taking there in the beginning of the month!

For a studio - 6504, 5504, 3504. Great park view including World of Color!

Lucky you! Love that place.

We haven't stayed in a bad villa yet; but some really do have amazing views. From our last one-bedroom villa balcony we could see parts of the World of Color show! Very exciting. Other nights, we were looking out at the Mickey wheel -- beautiful.

I'd request a higher floor for better views.

oooh, i was hoping for room numbers:thumbsup2. We've had such great luck when booking standard/lake view units @ BLT with a (partial) MK by producing room #'s when we check in and asking if our unit is within the parameters.

Thanks to all who responded & good luck booking:wizard:. It's good to know where the units are located, we only saw the model last trip. I was hoping they wouldn't be in the units over the disney store.

duh ur right, we check in on Wednesday the 8th lol & leave on Saturday the 11th. 1st 4 nights in Vegas resort TBD. Have stayed @ Luxor & PH, looking for something a bit more north.

I'm getting really excited for the trip since it's so different from our usual WDW ones. Interesting to find that i've lucked into airfare deals on SWA far less than what i paid for any of our PIT-MCO trips this year. Had such a big credit to use from SWA price drops we just had to take a trip to use it up before it expired.:rolleyes1
