Hey everyone! My husband and I decided to spend 1 night at a deluxe resort on a very short trip to disney, as in, no parks or anything. So we chose the Contemporary, and we are both really excited. However, we decided to book it a little too late, and the rate was no longer offered through Disney, so we went through Expedia. Is there any way to link that reservation to Disney so we can do online check-in?

Also, any advice that anyone would like to give about the Contemporary itself would be greatly appreciated! We are doing a monorail tour the night we are there, and we are both really excited about that!

I have booked four resort only reservations with Orbitz recently. You will just need to call Disney with your itinerary number . They will either link it for you or give you the confirmation number to link it yourself. I guess it just depends who you talk to because twice they linked it for me and twice they gave me the number to link it myself. It's super easy.

i love the CR! if you do the monorail tour and stop at each resort will you be eating/drinking along the monorail route? we will grab a drink at the bars and walk around. i'm a light weight so i get some great non-alcoholic options of my favorites (like the pina-colava). trader sam's at the poly is a great stop. we get there early to avoid the crowds (it opens at 4). you can grab a dole-whip there. when we head over to GF we the shops and Mizner's, grab a cupcake and sit outside and admire the view.

The views from the CR are pretty spectacular. One thing we found out on our last trip is that if they're not too busy, you can totally go up to California Grill (we did just in time for Wishes!) and have a cocktail at the bar. We highly recommend the Ray-Ray. The Wave is a nice bar, but it's void of any views, and Outer Rim Lounge closes really early. We love doing a monorail crawl! We do a bit of shopping, have a drink, maybe a snack, admire views, then move on. On a future trip, you can do the same on the Epcot resort loop! (YC, BC, Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin)

There are a couple of ways to get your reservation linked. First you will want to make sure that regardless of which method you choose that you also make sure that you know the Disney Confirmation number. It is a 12 digit number that begins with the number 4.

Call Expedia and ask them for the 12 digit number that begins with the number 4 that is on your Expedia reservation, in addition to your Expedia confirmation number. In most cases Disney can also find your reservation by looking up by your name online, if the third-party spells your name correctly. Just note that the address will not match your home address. It will be the third-party provider's.

What type of room did you reserve? That will help with additional recommendations. There is a great view of MK from the 4th floor patio, right next to the walkway to the BLT on the north side of the Tower building.

That sounds really fun! I love the Pina-Colava, but I have to be honest, I always get it without the raspberry. I am really picky, and I don't want to get something that I won't drink, even though I know my husband will drink it. We do plan on going to trader sams, and definitely getting a dole whip!

I was looking at the Outer Rim, and trying to find more information about it, but no such luck. Right now we are wanting to watch Wishes from the Polynesian, but I am starting to wonder if it would be better from California Grill. We may go with the beach, it just depends on what we decide. We are trying to go plan-free, and just roll with it, but that is somewhat hard for me!

Thanks! I got the reservation linked last week, and we just did a garden view room.

The monorail tour will be good. You can visit the Polynesian (a drink at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto) and the GF. You can also take a boat from the dock at CR to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. I really like California Grill (at CR), drinks at the Wave Lounge (CR), Artist Point (at WL) as well as Trader Sam's. Have fun, if even for one day!
