We will be doing the 10-1 excursion at Capt. Marvins on Tuesday July 6. It cost us $161 (DD#1 will be 12 so is an "adult" ) but I figured DCL would have cost us $200! Here's hoping the kids (12,9,6) like the stingrays!

See you there! :) I think it is going to be a great excursion. I like the idea that the boat is much smaller than the company DCL uses.

Now to decide what to do at Cozumal?? We have been looking at some time at Paradise Beach.

We were thinking of the Dolphin thing, but since we all can't do the same thing (DS is too young to swim) I think we may just hang out at Chakanab (sp.)

We just did Captain Marvin's a week ago and they were wonderful. Our 4 kids loved the stingrays and the rest of the snorkling too. We really appreciated hearing about Captain Marvin's on this board.

Just booked Capt Marvins for April. It sounds great!

Did you do the half-day (10-1 )? I'm wondering how much time I should allow for tendering in and walking to the meeting place?

Hi,

I am new to this and am unsure of what the 10-1 captain marvin is. I think I am sailing on the same ship as you (the 7/3 Magic--Western carribean?) I know that Capt. Marvin is a shore excursion but is it better than the disney excursion? Any info and advice would be great as we are first time cruisers.

Thanks,
Heather

We used Captain Marvins on our RCCL cruise 3 weeks ago (Mariner of The Seas.) They were really great and we loved the Stingray City stop (we did the 1/2 day tour.) They even gave us 2 small rum cakes on the return.
