Booked Boardwalk...thinking Saratoga instead?

I just booked 3 nights 4/8-4/11 at the Boardwalk for a friend and myself for our 40th B-days. We don't plan on going to any parks but instead would like to go to Cirque du Soleil, do some shopping, dining and perhaps get a spa treatment. We don't intend to rent a car, I am now thinking perhaps I should've booked Saratoga Springs because of it's quick boat ride to DD and it has a spa right in it. If I remember correctly when we stayed at OKW a few years back it was a pain to get from Boardwalk to OKW via Disney transportation...I am sure I will be happy with any of the resorts but I am thinking of transportation when I wonder if I should try to get SS instead....any thoughts?

You wouldn't even have to worry about the boat ride to DTD from SSR, although it is available. With your planned stay in early April, chances are (if you stayed at SSR) you would be in one of the Congress Park buildings. From Building # 4, it was a 5 minute walk to the DTD bus area.

Considering your plans, I'd change my ressie to SSR. It should be a very relaxing trip for you and your friend!

Considering the fact you are not going to the parks close to BWV (Epcot & MGM), I would do SSR. You want shopping, spa treatments, and relaxation. I would think SSR would be perfect for you. Plus, it's less points than BWV (preferred view anyway).

I agree we were at Saratoga a couple of weeks ago its beautiful. You can take the boat over to the West Side and your right at Cirque and Pleasure Island. How dare you go without the kids!! Good for you have a great trip.

I agree go for Saratoga. It's an easy walk to DD. Plus they have a very nice spa. It's very relaxing there, and you can enjoy the nightly festivities at Pleasure Island. Perfect for a girls trip.
