Generally you are correct, Immigration is done at 1st port of call in the US but the Irish have strong ties with the Americans so have immigration in Dublin.

Ooooh I've learnt something new today!

That's really handy, clearing customs in Dublin, I will be keeping that in mind when I'm looking at flights in the future!

We'll be clearing customs in Houston Texas this year and then on to Orlando so hopefully the queues won't be as bad there as they are in Orlando Immigration at the moment!

finally booked our august flights - we're arriving in orlando august 13

by the way, we bought our tickets yesterday as we heard that many airlines would be raising their prices this week.
