Eventually, but right now, they are going to open up the park reservations to those who have reservations and tickets first,

So, if capacity is reached before they let those without tickets havd their turn, there very well could be guests who can’t get into the park for every day of the trip,

Remember, AP holders without reservations are going to be in the mix.

Until they announce exactly the process, those without tickets while ticket sales are suspended, are vulnerable.

I can envision this could be another fiasco waiting to happen: Guests previously purchased dated tickets reflecting their resort stay and, even though they paid for 6 days of Park Hopping, they are only able to win the lottery for three days of their six. There are a lot of possible pitfalls with limited attendance in the mix.

My source has said that any guest who is not able to book all the days matching their tickets, will be refunded the number of days . They are planning to refund hopper as they won’t be allowing that right now.

And, as of today, all tickets have been changed to expire 9/26/21. So people who cancel and don’t go, they have over a year to use the ticket, without having to pay any increase!

Except that after 4? Days the prices of Disney tickets are relatively cheap...so for days 5 and 6 you may get what? $30 back? Disney would happily make that trade knowing how front loaded their prices are.

True...but at least they have a tentative plan. Which is why it is a good thing to stop the ticket sales.

Are 3rd party sellers not selling tickets? Yesterday I was looking at UT and while I didn't actually get to the point of actually buying tickets it sure seemed like I could have.

ETA: I just double checked and answered my own question. Definitely appears you can't buy them now.

I have a two bedroom at OKW I can't move....9 people in room 6 adults 3 kids ....I am only one with tickets ...assuming that we aren't going to fly 9 people down to not go in parks..have to play waiting game I guess

(we'll either wind up using this straight as a 10 day ticket or converting to a gold pass, depending on what we foresee our plans for next year once we actually get there in August)

Good point! It’s a good question to ask in terms of how many days from first use.

And once they open, Disney will sell them the ticket..but it won’t do them any good if the park is full...they won’t get in

I highly doubt Disney is going to see random tickets while this is going on. My guess is that once they open ticket sales, you will have to pick the day and the park and it will only allow you to purchase that ticket if there is room. Disney would be idiotic to sell open tickets and then expect their guests to "figure it out" with getting approval to enter the park. The only way it makes sense is to buy specific park/specific day tickets at the same time.

If isn’t their plan, it would be a good one! It does potentially put an element into those with reservations but no tickets

It going to be a long few weeks if the rumors that the details won’t be out until 2nd or 3rd week of June.

We are going at the end of July and I just want to make dinner reservations! No plans for the parks, just enjoying the resorts. I did get a few DS reservations yesterday when they opened them up on the website but they are only for backup, we really do not want to eat at any of them because we really wanted to try places we had never been before.

It will be interesting how it works, The only thing it said is those that lost them, will have priority back into the system.

If you have an onsite reservation and are staying in a resort, you will be able to get into a park and you will be able to purchase a ticket for that park. I'd bet a stupid amount of money on it. We'll see who ends up being right, I guess. Agree to disagree.

Let me reiterate. There is no way anyone staying in a Disney resort is going to be denied entrance to a park for a trip. Ain't gonna happen. Talk about business suicide. I don't care what they could claim about knowing the rules going in. It simply isn't going to happen, and they have absolutely no intention of enforcing it that way.

If you have an onsite reservation and are staying in a resort, you will be able to get into a park and you will be able to purchase a ticket for that park. I'd bet a stupid amount of money on it. Bottom line is people with reservations but no tickets are at a disadvantage right now and will not be part of the first group booking and have to hope there are still spots foe the days they are there

Why on earth would Disney suspend ticket sales, including from 3rd party vendors if everyone is getting in?

No one said it was impossible, but right now, with no ticket sales, there very could be guests the first few weeks who do not get in and end up having to cancel.
