If you not easily offended and pc, Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea had me laughing outloud throughout the entire book. She a comedian from NJ, and has a late night talk show (which is also pretty inappropriate, and hysterical).
I love the Jen Lancaster books. The first one is Bitter is the New Black, the second one is Bright Lights, Big A**, the third one is Such a Pretty Fat, and the newest one is Pretty in Plaid.
All of them are based on her life, and very, very funny.

The entire book is not about Disney, but this chapter is a great start to the rest of the book! You do not have to be Southern to appreciate this kind of humour!
My first thought was the Christopher Moore books - I have "A Dirty Job," "Bloodsucking Fiends" and "You Suck." I really want to read "The Gospel According to Biff," too. You probably need a slightly twisted sense of humor for them, though...
Good call on Neil Gaiman's "Good Omens" as well...and another one that I particularly liked was "The Good Fairies of New York" by Martin Millar.
The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club by Laurie Notaro is hilarious--actually I've enjoyed all of her books but that one is my favorite. Anything by David Sedaris and the Sweet Potato Queens books by Jill Conner Browne.
I agree with the Christopher Moore suggestions, as well! Lamb is my favorite.
I agree with the pps about Christopher Moore (I'm reading You Suck right now) and Celia Rivenbank (you will especially LOL if you're a southern gal). If you want a little action/mystery with some laughs, maybe try Mary Kay Andrews.
I'm reading Christopher Moore's Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff right now and I have Dirty Job lined up on my Kindle. If you're easily offended stay away from him but if not, he is freakin' hilarious.
I'm also reading the Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz. It's a goofy girl Private Investigator with a wacky family type of book and I find it pretty funny.
Not to hijack the thread, but be prepared with Christopher Moore. My neighbor gave me a book by Christopher Moore and swears he's one of the funniest writers out there.
To me, I think he has the most severe case of ADHD ever!
I like to read and I read a lot of different genres. I couldn't get past the first chapter or two. I felt that if he was talking to me, he'd be talking as fast as possible and skipped from one thought to the next.
