Book Now or Wait

My wife and I decided to go back to WDW for our one year anniversary. We went there for our Honeymoon and we went while we were in high school. We are going for 10 days the last week of May. Right now the only special offer is for free dining however it only applies to the last 3 days of our trip. Last year we got a 500 dollar gift card and that really helped. Do you all think or know if Disney will offer more promotions closer to our date or should we just book now?

You can always book now, and rebook if a better promotion comes along. You don't have to wait and risk being locked out.

We usually go ahead and book the room as soon as we know the dates so we have a room. When the discounts come out then you can add on as you want.

If you are set on particular dates and resort, it's best to book early. Then you have no worries of not getting exactly what you want. It's impossible to know what if any other promotions will be available for that time frame....but if a promotion comes out that applies to your reservation, you can call to see if it can be applied. It's not a guarantee that you can apply a promo - it has to be available for your resort/room/dates. So make sure you call the day the new promo is announced!!!

I agree - there is very little risk to booking now and hoping a discount comes out. If it does, you or your travel agent can just call and see if the discount is available for the room and resort category you selected. If so, then you can just have the discount applied. If not, you can see if it is available for another resort/room combination.

If you hope to take advantage of the Free Dining promo that is out, you will have to make 2 reservations - which will require 2 deposits. Which is a bit of a pain.

My only word of advice would be to choose something that you can comfortably afford without a big discount. That way if one comes along it will be "gravy"...if not, you will not be seriously dissappointed about having to re-arrange things.
