Book dining with reservation?

Do I book the dining when I make my reservations or can I wait and add it before we get there? We are going in August and we would love to get the free dining. If I have already booked the dining and then the free dining comes out for our dates can it be changed or is it tuff noogies? We will be using Small World. I know they know all of this but I'm one of those people that has a ton of questions that I like to find out and then think about it. I really am thankful for any help.

First off you CANT get free dining for 08 because it had to be booked by June 22. Secondly you have to add the dining plan outside of 72 hours from your arrival

No guarantee that free dining will be offered in 2009. If it is it will likely be the CS-CS plan and you'd have to upgrade to get a plan like the 2008 Basic or Deluxe plans.

As for booking you would book a Free Dining Package once the offer is made and open to the public. It seems like you could just add it, but just like the cheap airline seats Disney makes some of the rooms at each resort available for promotions.
