BCV is our home resort so I can book at the 11 month window. I need a dedicated 2 BR. Is it worth the hassle of booking day by day (they seem to have plenty dedicated 2BR and the only request I would make would be non-smoking)? Or should I wait until the last day is at the window and book it all at once. We are looking at going from Sunday to checkout on Fri. mid July of next year.

Thanks (This will be our first trip home!)

you should be fine waiting - unless you want one of the dedicated 2-bedrooms with the queens instead of 1 queen and one sleeper sofa - if you want both queens - I think there are only what 25??

so I would think they would go as fast as the standard view at BWV

could be wrong - you can call MS for your first day to make the reservations and ask how is availability for a 2-bedroom dedicated with the queen beds - if they say fine - call back at the end - if they say they are going fast - then be prepared to call on a day by day basis.

Thanks for your quick reply, Pat. Yes, I would definitely need 2 queen beds! DD&DS are both bringing friends. Only 25 queens- anyone sure if this is correct?

Thanks again Pat,
Maryann

Yes, there are only 25 dedicated 2 bedrooms at BCV which have two regular queen beds in the 2nd bedroom the remainder 52 dedicateds have a regular queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa, in the second bedroom.

Here's the scenario,
We are planning to visit BCV next July. We are trying to figure out the configuration of a dedicated 2BR and bathroom facilities.

DH& I are taking down DD and boyfriend and DS and girlfriend.

DD& son's girlfriend will share the spare BR, DH & I will have Master BR and son and daughter's boyfriend will share pullout couch/floor in living room (we are thinking of taking an air mattress for the poor guy who winds up on the floor). Other choice is DH&I in spare bedroom with DS on bed/couch, DD& son's girlfriend in master BR and DD's boyfriend on living room couch. Got that????

Question about bathrooms.

It's hard to tell, but can you access the master bathroom from the living room WITHOUT going through the master bedroom. We figured the girls can share the spare bathroom and the boys can share ours, but I'd like some privacy during the night.

I should add that DD is 23 and DS is 19, but I would like to keep everything on the up and up on my watch.

Any other ideas on how to work this out???

the only 2-bedroom that you can't access the Master bathroom through the livingroom area is OKW in the early building (11-30)

so BCV you won't have this problem.

I would put yourself and your husband in the master - it is by far the best that DVC has and you need to reward yourself

I would put the women (dd and sgf) or the men (ds and dbf) in the other bedroom. then who ever is left gets the livingroom - definitely bring something for the other male.

but of course the decision is yours - I would go with 3 studios - yes more points - no WOW factor - but hey everyone gets a bed - well sorry - not at BCV - but OKW everyone would get a bed!!!

There is a separate entrance to the master bathroom from the living room, so there is no need to worry about that. I'd also place the girls in the 2nd bedroom, as to keep them separate, as well as give them separate beds. They might not know each other very well, and might not like sharing a bed together. The boys can "rough it" in the living room, and you get the nice king for you and your DH. Here is the floorplan of a 2 bedroom villa at BCV, so you can see the separate entrance to the bathroom. Also, this is a dedicated with the pull-out option, if you get the two queens, that will be in place of the pull out in the second bedroom.

Yes, you can close the door from the hallway to the master bedroom and the door to the area of the master bath (sink and tub). If you close both those doors you can get to the toilet, small sink and shower without seeing the master bed.

Thank you all so much for all your help!!! DH is very happy. He didn't want to give up the master suite.

I'm also goimg in July and need the 2br w/2 Queens. Better call day by day....only kidding.....I was just gonna wait to do it all at once. I actually got a 2br dedicated w 2/Queens at the 7 month period. But it was for January. Maybe that's why I got it. See ya there.
