My DS and DD have caught onto the boogie boards this summer. Can they be rented at TL and BB wave pools? Do they allow you to bring your own?

Thanks
Shelby

there are no boogie boards at either parks, and I do not think they will alow it to be brought into the water. Tube are not even alowed into the wave pools at blizzard beach (and i'm pretty sure at TL too, but I remember when I was there in 93, they had a small roped off section that you could bring your rented tubes in, but that was over 10 years ago, so it all could of changed).

I also might add your son might like the surf lessons givin at TL in the mornings. check on this page right on the DIS http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/surfing.htm or Scroll down through a few pages for posts about this (i know there have been a few recent ones, maybe 4-5 pages back), or call 407-wdw-play to learn more.

The teens in our family 13,15 and 18 loved the surfing lessons at TL. It is expense $125 or $150. You have to reserve and you have to arrive early 5:45 am. The lessons are through Cocoa Beach Surf school. They bring the gear. The students are instructed on land for a 1/2 hour and then they take turns 2 at a time in the huge waves at TL. The insturctors are in the water. You have to be a good swimmer. Our kids went about 6 times in the 2 1/2 hours. They get you out of there pronto around 9am. Expensive and early but it was well worth it for out teens. But it really has to be something they want to do because of the time and money.

Thanks, to both of you, for the info. Something ELSE for me to think about.

Shelby
