While I sat and calmed DS down a little more DH went to the buffet to get food for himself and Ryan and I’m pretty sure DD went with him!
As soon as they arrived back we had our first visitor!!
Mickey!!!
Mickey tried very hard to get Ryan’s attention but Ryan was busy trying to use a very large fork!
We had a nice little visit with Mickey and then he moved onto another table! But, Daisy was right behind him! We’ve never met Daisy and DD was very excited to met her! She was lovely and Ryan may have been a little smitten!
Finally there was a little break and Johnny and I were able to go get food! He was still a little embarrassed about the spill and wasn’t sure he wanted to get up because you could see the spill. I assured him it was ok and no one would care! The very nice ladies at the next table commented to him that the orange color from the juice made his white Halloween tee look even cooler!! He really like that comment!!
After we had plates full of food we returned and started to eat! Soon Goofy visited!! He gave the kiddos lots of love, attention and a few tickles!!
Soon we were finished! We settled our bill and I made sure to give our waiter an extra big tip! He really deserved it! I really felt that he went above and beyond when it came to the spill and was a great waiter to begin with!!
We really enjoyed Tusker House! Aside from the rushed feeling of the Donald picture and spill it was great! We enjoyed the variety on the buffet and I LOVED the coffee!!! We’re definitely looking forward to our breakfast at Tusker House next month!!
We decided to head toward Kali because it’s a favorite of DD and DH. We were hoping DS would decide to try it for the first time!
We stopped along the way to browse a little…
play the drums…
met some new friends…
(Ryan wanted nothing to do with those two! LOL!)
enjoy the beautiful themeing...
and see some amazing creatures...
We arrived at Kali to find that the standby line was posted as a 5 minute wait! Yippeeee!!! I would be sitting this one out with Ryan and Johnny was really against the idea of going (he hates to get wet other than while swimming) so he hung out with me while DH and DD went for a ride!
We waited on the bridge to take a picture of them and soon enough the approached!
Notice DD’s clothes in the picture
A few minutes DD came running toward me
“That was the most funest ride ever!” She was soaked!!! Dripping!! OMG!!
We stopped at the little gift kiosk by Kali that sells entire changes of clothes and bought a towel for DD and DH to share and DS7 a giant stuffed bat that he really wanted and paid for with his own money!
Then we made our way toward “The Dinosaur Playground” as DS7 calls it!
A few more pics along the way...
Ryan was fast asleep in the stroller
so DH took the kiddos into the playground while I took sleepy baby to see about FP for Dinosaur and drinks for us!
When we arrived at Dinosaur we found a posted wait for 10 minutes and the FP machines bagged! Ok!
We walked back toward the Boneyard, got some water and found a little bit of shade to wait in!
The kiddos played for a good 30 or 40 minutes and finally came out nicely hot and sweaty! We headed toward Dinosaur and left DH and still sleeping Ryan in a very nice, shady area of to the side!
We basically walked onto Dinosaur, only waiting long enough for us to look at some of the stuff in the queue and see the preshow!
Then it was time!!
I’d be lying if I said this ride was hit with us! It scared to heck out of DD and DS was not too happy about all the being thrown around! I’m not even sure I understand the point of the ride! Too noisy, too rough and overall just crazy!! I felt like you couldn't get into the story of the ride because it was being blasted out of your head by the noise and shaken out by being thrown around!! But, it was a first for us and we can say we’ve ridden it. We can also say we’ll probably never ride it again
My redneck version of the ride picture…
After being thoroughly deafened and shaken met back up with DH and Ryan, who was awake now, and decided to head back to SSR for lunch, rest and swimming!
We made our way back to SSR on a virtually empty bus and along the way we saw something we’ve never seen and probably never will again!
An alligator in the wild! He (or she) was next to one of those big drainage ponds on the side of the road. It was probably 5 feet long and had its mouth open!! WOW!!!!
Up next lunch, swimming and HALLOWEEN!!!
