We stayed at the Springs for the first part of our summer trip last year and we loved the location!

While I was in the tub DH and the kids set up the pull out bed and put their pj’s on! Who would have thought? At home that NEVER would have happened! Happy vacation to me!

SSR sounds so lovely! One of these days I want to head over there to check out the grounds. I always love seeing the grounds when I've stayed at POFQ and take the boat to DTD.

Oh - I know - you just didn't want us to see the room after it was all messed up! Right? I always do this. If I don't take the pictures the second we walk in, forget it. Then people will see what a slob I am. LOL!

What a great afternoon at MK. Love the pictures and love how you were able to do so much with such a little wait. The CP pics are so fun. I never tire of those characters. Great to see Ryan warming up and participating.

So how was that jacuzzi tub????? I never used the one at SSR, but I certainly enjoyed the one at Vero and AK.

Can't wait to read more!

Awesome update Melissa. i can't believe you didn't take any pictures of the room at SSR!!! i'm appalled! That's crazy about the mixup with the check-in system at CP, lucky you actually did get in and seated!! Imagine if you'd waited allllll that extra time outside?!? i agree about the waitress, too - she'd better be ccareful about with whom she has that kind of conversation. Great update! and Happy belated birthday to Johnny - the pool party looks like fun!

Thanks! I completely forgot and by the time I remembered I couldn't because I wasn't going to take pictures of a room my kiddos had trashed!!!

The system glitch was crazy!! What really stinks is that for however long someone was outside calling our name while we were inside eating another family could have been at the table they thought they were seating us at!

The waitress was also a little crazy!!! Why would she go into a whole political thing?! Not the time or place!

We had a great time at the party! I still can't believe he's 7!!!

I'm glad it perked him up too!! I was soooo excited that we were going to CP. I had tried and tried to get an ADR there and had no luck! Brookelizabeth's CP update inspired me to try again and low and behold I got an ADR!!!!! Ryan LOVES Pooh! It would have broken my heart if he was out of sorts the whole meal!!

I can't believe Johnny scored that high on Buzz!!! He was soooo happy!

The Springs is beautiful! We had a wonderful view of the fountain in pond too! Very, very nice!!

I know! I was so bad forgetting the pics!! Once I remembered there was no way I was going to show you that!! I even looked on allears to see if there were pics of one of the accessible rooms but their weren't! I have to say the one thing I didn't like was that because the room was acessible the tub wasn't in the bathroom with the shuttered window. It was pretty much in the bedroom! Kinda weird!


We had a great afternoon at MK!! It was a lovely way to start the trip!! The shorts waits were soooo wonderful!!

We never tire of Pooh and Friends either!! I'm sad that it's closed for refurb in Jan! I'd love to take my nieces and nephew there!! I was so happy that Ryan got over the I'm tired and you woke me up thing! I would have been so sad if he didn't have a good time!!

I LOVED that tub!! very, very nice!!! Aside from the fact, like I said before, that it was basically in the bedroom! I can't wait for the one at AKV!!!

* Holy Buzz points Batman! He'll have to give me some pointers for sure! And a Speedway walk-on? I've never seen that before, great timing!

* No room pics?! Tsk, tsk! When we arrived to our rooms in August I told the kids not to touch anything until I got some pics taken.... otherwise they'd be a disaster.... it was then or never!

Your so right about enjoying the resort and relaxing!! When DH and I took the DVC tour our guide said many times that when your a DVC member you'll vacation at WDW differnently. He was right!

We had a great day at MK! The waits were so good it made touring so much easier! Splash was a huge hit!!!

Thanks!! He hasn't used the skateboard yet, but I did take him to get a new helmet and padding so he's all set! He can't wait to use the movie tickets! DH keeps teasing him that it's tickets for 2 because the little girl who gave them to him wants to go on a date!

Awww...Happy Belated B-Day to Johnny...David is 7 too and well 7 just isn't a baby anymore...it's a very sweet age though...they are able to be a little independent...and they are still like little puppies...

I asked David the other day how come he was so happy all the time and he told me he was just born that way......I think he's right...some kids really are just born that way...it's a blessing...

I love that you were able to walk onto the Speedway...(my kids both love it...I try to distract them because it is usually the line where time stands still so kudos for your walk on...and Pooh too...

You should have come to my house! We always have watermelon here! No matter what the season! It's like staple of exisitance around here! My kids fight over it, that and bananas!

Hi everyone!!

I had hoped to get this up sooner but I'm getting over *hopefully* a very bad sinus infection and double ear infection! YIKES!! No fun and I felt like I got hit by a bus for a few days!

But I'm getting better and for your patience you shall be rewarded! I have all of day 2 complete and ready to go for your reading an viewing pleasure!

It's 11 pages in word so grab some coffee and get comfy! In the words of Peter Pan, here we go!!

So we left off with us asleep at SSR!

Ahhhhhh!!! Comfy, comfy king sized bed!!!

We decided to sleep late because our ADR at Chef Mickey’s wasn’t until 10:55. Of course, I’m an early riser so I got up around 7ish, quickly put on a pot of coffee and hopped in the shower.

But the time I was done in the shower DD was awake and eager to get her day started! She, of course, woke DS7. So I enjoyed my coffee while sitting on the pull out bed watching cartoon with my 2 kiddos! It was a lovely way start the day!

Soon DH and DS2 were awake and we were ready to go.

We got to the MK bus stop at the Springs and waited only a few minutes. We were on our way!

We arrived at MK with plenty of time to spare before our ADR and discussed what to do. We thought about one of us running into MK and grabbing FP for Splash or BTMRR later but decided that it would kill too much time and be exhausting. So we decided to do the Monorail loop completely around and back to the Contemporary!

After a fun ride we were at the Contemporary in a jiffy with a lot of time still left!

The kiddos LOVE the Fantasia shop so we decided to stop in there and take a look around…

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!!! I love Jim Shore and I love his Disney pieces! Soooo beautiful!! DH saw me admiring it and looked for a price, $110 I believe. Then he offered to buy it for me for my birthday! But, I declined the very nice offer. It was rather tall and I wasn't sure were I'd put it! I kind of regret that now, maybe Jan...








We came out with a few little thing for the kiddos, purchased with their own $$, and went to sign in at Chef Mickey’s!! Then it was picture taking time!!

I was a little afraid of how long we’d have to wait. I figured by 10:55 any back up that they had during the morning would have been completely compounded and we’d wait 30 minutes, easily!

I was pleasantly surprised when we went to the waiting area and there were very few people waiting! I hoped that was a good sign!


After about 15 minutes of watching the Little Einstein’s we were called! Yippeee skippee!!!

We were seated and DH and I did our usual buffet routine of me first getting food for DS2 and myself with DD getting her stuff. We son arrived back at the table with our yummy food and DH and DS7 went!

Soon after DH and DS arrived back at the table we started to see characters!

Mickey was first!




Notice Ryan, he kept trying to turn around to see the character that was behind him! Didn't make for great photos!

Mickey was very happy to see us again and we, of course, had come all the way to FL to see him!! With autographs all around, a few pictures and hugs and kisses he was soon on his way to the next table.

Then it was time to celebrate with Mickey Mouse! Our waiter brought out a cupcake for DS





and we enjoyed all the fun of Chef Mickey’s! Napkin twirling and all!



After the celebrating was over, the candle was blown out and we had a moment to take a few bites of food.

Then Donald arrived! Donald was a little annoyed that the kiddos autograph books were in the shape of Mickey! Oops!! I promised Donald that for our returned to Chef Mickey’s in January I would make a special Donald Duck page, just for him! He like that idea a whole lot and blew me a kiss!



Donald loved Ryan and gave him so extra special attention







Soon Goofy arrived to greet us!



Then it was time for Pluto to stop by!



Then Minnie arrived with hugs and kisses!



We were soon done with our yoummy breakfast and on our way to MK!!

We entered MK a little after noon and stopped to take a few pictures!!








Then we decided to head to...



The posted wait was something like 15 or 20 minutes but the line moved very quickly!

I had to chance to take picture of this


as it went by!

We soon found ourselves in the stretching room after only waiting 10 minutes, tops!

I know I’ve mentioned this before in past TR’s and such but I’ll mention it again! I love HM!! A lot!! I don’t think I could write a thesis on it like another Diser I know of but I love it!

I love it even more since KTTK!! To me, it’s truly an Imagineering masterpiece! LOVE IT!!

I got some cool non-flash pictures too!






that ghost on the left looks extra creepy!



The one thing that struck me is that stairs in the new stair room weren’t shifting! I’m positive that the stairs used to move. This time it was the stairs with the ghost foot prints, no moving! What’s the deal with that?! I want my moving stairs back, thank you very much!

We all decided that it was not our time to become the 1000th haunt and were soon on our way into Fantasyland.

I ran and got us FP for Peter Pan while DH waited with the kiddos off to the side toward the stroller parking area.



DS7 was dying to play in the playground in Toontown so we decided to head that way!

I convinced DH to watch the kiddos play while I took a few minutes to shop in the shop in toontown, can't think of what it's called! I browsed and took pictures but didn’t buy anything!






I went to find the family having fun in toontown and rounded them up to head to the next attraction!

DS7 and DD decided they wanted to ride the Barnstormer. Posted wait was 10 minutes. Again we waited no more than 5.

After our Barnstorming flight, man I tell you that Goofy can fly worth a darn, DD decided she wanted her face painted!

She had decided the day before, forgot to mention this, to skip BBB. It was too hot and she was concerned about being too warm in her outfit. So I canceled it, luckily I explained to the nice CM on the phone why DD didn’t want to do BBB and she didn’t charge me the late cancellation fee! Yippee!! What a lovely CM!

So DD decided that having a lovely painted face would be a perfect substitution for BBB! OK!



Then it was time to venture back into fantasyland!

We did IASW with a 5 or so minute wait.

PhilHarMagic with a wait just long enough to fill up the show



and then went off to Neverland via our Fastpasses!

According to my Mickey watch it was now about time to head out of MK and over to GF for our 4:55 ADR at 1900 Park Fare!!
