Boo Bash tickets -- Only $10 discount

I think they are testing the waters with this pricing, see if they can get away with it basically, if not drop the price or offer a big discount to DVC and AP to put the price where they were probably comfortable with at the start anyway.

Everyone thinks there will be big demand as restrictions are relaxed so I think they are trying to take advantage of it.

No way would I pay that for 3 hours in a park with no fireworks - unless they offered me unlimited free booze haha

Yeah it's steep, but in past after-hours events(non-themed) the price was $99-129 I believe. At that price I think it was a steal -extremely low crowds and free popcorn, ice cream, etc. For $70 we're getting significantly more in holiday events so I still think it's worth it for September dates. I think it really hurts families who wanted to go for sure, and I think on weekends and October dates the crowds will be higher and that hurts the lower crowd benefit.

Boo Bash, presented by Hoop-dee-doo! Sangria carts in every land!

Argh. Waiting for them to announce if there is going to be one at DL (I'm sure there will be). We have a stay already booked using our points at the VGC in October. I was thinking about purchasing tickets if they do have an event but with tickets at $199/person in October, that seems too expensive.

It depends on whether it's a Halloween party or an after hours event. DL has had several pricey after hours events (they called them After Dark) as well. I want to say $100-150/pp with the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise, etc. Date/Sweethearts Night, 80s night, and a few others as I recall. Plus the Halloween Party at DLR always seemed more expensive than WDW.

I think the most I’ve paid is approx $125/person. I can see adults paying for this party but it doesn’t make much sense for us with an 8 year old.

I’m just curious... what extra theming do you get? I assume the parks are already decked out in their October best. Are they adding specifically for the after hours?

Versus the standard "After-Hours" events they've offered in the past..... those were never tied to Halloween, Christmas, etc

I just don't see the attendance being limited in any significant way and especially not to the levels of the after hours events. It's going to be tremendous Disney inflation for less.
can’t remember the last time we didn’t do at least one halloween party. However, after the crowds we experienced in ‘19, just cannot bring myself to fork over more money for what I feel will be a substantially lessor experience.

Do plan on reading the early reviews from the few bloggers i do follow. If WDW knocks it out of the park, might reconsider.

I’m more concerned re what is going to be rolled out for Xmas at this point.
Disney is banking on people who really want MNSSHP back accepting this as a consolation prize, so they are anticipating higher demand than VAH
bingo.
we're all pandemic crazy spending money left and right on the things we couldn't do last year, and maybe that is enough to make people jump on this very bad deal.
Not all the fervent fans will line up to drink the koolaid. Sampling the threads here, seems to be a large contingent of very excited people who have never experienced either MNSSHP or Villains, indicating they are planning on attending.

I’ve been to lots of Halloween parties and 1 After Hours event - since it’s just us 2 adults going in Oct - I plan on attending one night and enjoying the night for what it is - I’m not expecting a MNSSHP experience and while I do think tickets will be ‘limited’...I do think they’ll sell significantly more than any previous After Hours or Villians event.

Even so, those first two hours wouldn't be particularly useful. Before park reservations, MK was quiet on party days, so an extra 2 hours was nice even though it overlapped with the regular park guests. Now with MK park reservations selling out each day, the period of time where regular and boo bash guests overlap will be doubly crowded with long waits.

This might be the biggest loss. On days of MNSSHP I always hit the MK because the crowds were significantly lighter. People not going to the party didnt bother because of the early closing. Days of the party seemed to be lower crowds then the actual party, it was quite nice.

Any thoughts on if they will release more tickets for sold-out dates? I swear I thought the tickets went on sale this month, not last :(

They already did, most dates sold out quickly, then all of a sudden there was more availability. I hope they do not pack the park. We did a After Hours event in 2019, there was about 3,000 people in the MK it was great. We are hoping they do a Christmas After Hours party this year.

I don't think they added more tickets to any of the sold out dates. They just added a few more Sundays to the party schedule.

At first they added more dates, then some sold out dates were again available. Was it an error by their software or did they add more spots.

I guess the site is not allowed. In late June numerous dates were sold out, then were available again. So Disney added tickets, was holding back tickets or had an error counting how many they sold.

I refuse to pay that ridiculous price for any Boo bash in Oct. that's just nuts! I almost didn't get one of the discounted dates, but we just moved to fl. so not using points, just taking granddaughter to trick or treat and go on a few rides. Here, in FL., there are just to many people not vaccinated for me to risk taking her door to door, so, like last year, we will do something special at home. she knocked on every door in our house, and we hid a couple micky mouse buckets she had to read clues to find, and then we had a personal piñata in the back yard, . afterward, she told us it was the best Halloween ever, and she wanted to do it next year too! LOL . Looks like tickets for the 31st sold out, and most of the DVC discount ones, how are the rest of the nights going?

That's disappointing for those who were hoping Boo Bash crowds will be more like After Hours crowds than MNSSHP crowds.

Did they maybe hold some capacity back for when everyone could buy tickets? As I recall (suspect, I know, LOL), many of the sold out dates happened when tickets were only available to on-site resort guests.

It will be interesting to see the reports from the early events.

What a great idea!

People will buy no matter what the cost and still complain. I took my Disney glasses off a long time ago. pay more, get less seems to be the theme. What next? will it be required to purchase fast passes? I can’t imagine what APs will cost when they are resold again.

We loved doing MNSSHP and MVMCP. The admission was lower ($89 was the last price we paid with DVC discount) and the crowds drastically reduced after fireworks or parade. We were able to knock out all of our must do rides in that evening (even entering at 4pm) and even go back and ride several things multiple times with very little or no wait. It allowed us to do another park day and was just an enjoyable experience with less people and less Florida heat after dark. Guess those days are over because we won't be doing them again at these prices.
