Okay so I had it narrowed down to Bonnet Creek and now I am thinking Windsor Hills...what is everyone's opinion on these two places...we will have two kids under 3 and two adults!
thanks, this board is awesome!

We are staying in Windsor Hills this December...I have never stayed there but all I hear is great things about it.

Well, I have only stayed at Bonnet Creek, but here's why I love it: 1) You are literally (well, I guess not literally) on-site. You drive through the WDW gates, you can see the Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century and the Epcot ball from the resort. 2) The commuting time to the parks is so short, just a few minutes to Epcot and DHS. 3) The resort is absolutely beautiful, I love the Tuscan theming. 4) Lazy rivers, zero-depth entry, pool slide, and 3 pools, plus mini-golf. 5) The villas are clean and in great shape. 6) They do offer a free shuttle. Although we prefer to drive to the parks, this is a nice back-up plan if your family would want or need to split up. On our last trip, DD wasn't feeling well at DHS one afternoon, so I was able to drive her back and DH and DS's just took the shuttle. Those are my top reasons!

I've done both. Really apples and oranges---it depends on what you want.

Windsor Hills is a subdivision of privately owned homes, townhomes, and condos. Each home will be decorated in the owner's personal style, and amenities and furnishings can vary widely. There are some community resources (the pool, a small convenience store) but not as much as you'd find at "a resort"---no centralized activities, no pool bar, etc. In exchange, there is a much better sense of privacy. It is "outside the bubble" but non-Disney restaurants/shops are a bit more convenient.

Bonnet Creek is a timeshare resort. Every unit is identically decorated (though there are a few variations from building to building). Much more in the way of centralized resort amenities---a couple lazy rivers, mini golf course in fairly good repair, a pretty broad slate of activities, a few very modest food outlets on property. A little less of a sense of privacy. It feels as though it is "inside the bubble," though technically it is not. It is possible to get a room with an overview of much of Epcot, but in most cases this won't be guaranteed.

We've enjoyed our stays at both. I prefer Bonnet Creek a little bit due to location and a more "resort-y" feel, but would not mind staying at Windsor Hills again either.

I assume we are comparing condos to condos??

I have stayed at a 3 bedroom condo at WH. I've never stayed at BC but I've seen pictures and read reports on here.

I loved our WH condo. Very nicely decorated and the pool area was great.

BC condos look nicely decorated also but the pool area looks much nicer that WH........maybe it's just that it has more. WH is a nice pool and slide but no lazy river or anything.

I would choose BC for the more resort feel, like Brian said. But you can't go wrong with WH. But closer to the mouse would be nice too.
