Hi all, I have a few questions about Bonnet Creek....hoping for some feedback.

I understand this is a time share property but non-owners can also book via the website or phone. Do some owners rent points (the same way many DVC owners do) and is it generally cheaper to rent points than booking directly through Wyndham? Are there any sites/resources where I can explore this option?

Are the shuttles from BC to the parks convenient & reliable...free? We will have a car but we generally just use it to/from airport, grocery runs & to get to Downtown Disney. I like the convenience of buses to/from the parks.

We will be there in early December, does BC decorate for the holidays?

Is there still construction going on? If so any idea when it will be complete?

Do any of the units have pack-n-play cribs?

I'm really torn on where to stay. I currently have two rooms booked at POR, which I love but w/ out a code a 1 or 2 bedroom unit at BC would be less expensive. We always stay onsite but BC looks lovely (& great location) and having a washer/dryer & kitchen is very appealing.

Any feedback regarding BC is welcome..thanks!

Also..our tentative travel dates are 11/30-12/8.......would I need to book there soon?

We stayed at Bonnet Creek for 11 nights from 6th Dec 2008 and just loved it. We rented through Ken Price - www.vacationupgrades.com and he was just great and I would highly recommend. Paid $120 a night for a 2 bed deluxe. The room was great and probably as bug as my house in England. It was definitley alot cheaper than booking direct.

We didn't use the shuttles but they seemed to run all the time even in December. There was a timetable and there were lots of different times on there.

We stayed in the main building where the reception was and that had the usual decorations, Trees etc. It looked very nice.

There was construction going on but on the other side of the lake so we did not hear anything and were not bothered by it. One morning we saw a message on our phone and it was to say that there was going to be a concrete pour in the early hours, we didn't hear a thing. Not sure when the construction will be finished.

We stayed at SSR the year before which I loved. We are going back there this August for 17 nights but got the special UK deal of 44% off and free dining. This actually works out cheaper than Bonnet Creek because we are paying in sterling, but if it didn't I would not hesiate to stay at Bonnet Creek. My husband says Bonnet Creek is superior to SSR but I am torn between the two. If it was a choice between POR and BC, then BC would win every time. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any other questions.

Thanks for the feedback!
I just checked out the website link you provided, did you just e-mail Ken Price and he responded by letting you know if your dates were available?
Do you know what methods of payment he accepts?
I'm curious as to how the transaction works, do you sign a contract & is the reservation in your name?

I appreciate any information/thoughts you have!

I emailed my dates originally asking for a quote. He sent that back and then I gave him a call to confirm I wanted to go ahead. He then made reservation in my name and forwarded me a copy of the reservation direct from Bonnet Creek. Also sent a contract to sign. That is when I paid the deposit. I had never done this before so of course was a little worried but there was no need. Everything went very smoothly. I paid through paypal but not sure if there are any other methods. I think I paid balance 8 weeks before departure.
Hope this helps.
