Does anyone know if the $40 Parallada de Mariscos seafood skillet at Bongo's is included in the dining plan? It seems too expensive of an entree to be, but you never know. Or is it a dinner for two, since Bongo's web site menu says it includes two lobster tails? Also, has anyone tried it recently?

I guess Bongo's may not be a very popular restaurant with Disers, since no one responded to my question.

But in case any one else is interested, here's the response I got from Disney's Moms Panel when I asked them the same question:

"What a great question! Thanks for visiting the Walt Disney World Moms Panel to ask it!

There are many 'hidden gems' as far as value goes within the Disney Dining Plans, and this is definitely one of them if you're a seafood lover!

The Parrillada de Mariscos (skillet of seafood) at Bongos Cuban Café in Downtown Disney's West Side is indeed a dinner intended for one person to enjoy, and is indeed eligible under the Disney Dining Plan as a single, Table Service Credit meal! Just to be sure of this, I have spoken directly with the restaurant and had this confirmed for you through a manager and their executive chef. I myself had the opportunity to sample this amazing and plentiful bounty of seafood at Bongos just this past December and it was as delicious to look at as it was to eat!

Thanks for posting their reply. I tried to search and help you out the other night, but couldn't come up with anything :cutie:

Thanks also for bringing this dish to my attention: Parrillada de Mariscos (skillet of seafood) - savory skillet of filet of fish, clams, mussels, Jumbo shrimp and two lobster tails with a garlic lime butter and served with yellow rice and fried sweet plantains. Sounds so yummy! Now I want to try it too!

Wow. This is something I knew nothing about. I was thinking about trying Fultons but need to look into this. Thanks so much for sharing the info!

I love Bongos! We usually go on every trip, I don't know why not so many people here like it... It is a very good restaurant

Change of plan for me - Bongos now on the 'for definite' list!

Sencybil xx

Went to Bongos a few weeks ago in DTD. I don't know why I did not order that but the server did tell me I could get it on the DDP!

That was my second trip to Bongos and I LOVE it!!!

Glad I just happened upon this thread. Have and ADR for Sept to Bongo's and its so hard to find info on if its good or bad, or opinions nonetheless.

I was also thinking of ordering the Parrillada de Mariscos - sounds fantastic for a seafood choice :thumbsup2.

Was considering changing it, but now I think I'll keep it!:cheer2:
