Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

That's right. Like you were ever going to vote for him. But I give the "righteous indignation" a 4 for effort. :lmao:

Yanno, it's funny but I don't recall any righteous indignation at Falwell or Robertson or the rest of the religious nutjobs your president called on for advice. Maybe I missed it. If so, link please.

So he's not your president? :confused3

Story from Jan. of this year talking about the Hillary/Bill Clinton speach, and 9/11 was a wake up call to white america.

http://www.nypost.com/seven/01182008/postopinion/editorials/baracks_un_righteous_rev_760599.htm

On Wednesday, he publicly chastised Wright for his "personal attacks," saying they "have no place in this campaign or our politics" - though he added that they don't "detract from my affection for Rev. Wright, or appreciation for the good works he has done."

In Jan. they had no place in this campaign until there is enough outrage, then they really won't have any place in this campaign.

Thanks for the link.

WTH...the pastor was doing the "simulated hump" across the stage (as swipe at HC's husband) in Jan. of 08. Around the time of the NH primary.

& BO knew enough to keep him away from his campaign kickoff....but put him on his campaign.....where he has been his spiritual advisor & moral compass until this week??

I wish the "vetting" had been properly done on this candidate (who was a two term (4 years) STATE senator as late as 2006) BEFORE the primary season began. HC has been accused of attack ads.....jeesh.....she could have (should have) SLAMMED him but chose not to.

The calls by my fellow Democrats to "let's play nice" was a mistake....we should have pulled the scabs off months ago. The only way a Dem would lose to a Rep. (imo) would be to nominate the "wrong" candidate. Time for some thermo-nuclear vetting.

Is that your answer?

I'm just trying to establish exactly who it is we're talking about. I thought there was just one president in the United States -not one for conservatives and one for everyone else. So... is the man I call president your president too?

In cased you missed it, those two preachers have taken their own share of heat over the years.

BTW one tiny little distinction. GWB wasn't a member of Falwell's church (Robertson doesn't have a physical Church). And no there is not a link to prove that something that did not happen, did not happen. Obama, however, was a member, did donate big bucks, was married by and had his children baptized by and attended the church that this hatemonger was the pastor of for 20 years.

You can grasp at straws all night, and then run over and tell the liberal thread how you one-upped somebody. But I want to know... is my president your president? Then I shall discuss things further. (But be ye warned, I'm going to bed soon so let's speed it up :lmao: )

No, Bush is not my president because he never intended to be my president.

Excellent! Thank you for your response. Since my president is not your president we have no need to discuss things further. Just like I would not discuss the Canadian PM with a Canadian, you should not discuss my president with me.

ETA: Nice obfuscation BTW

US President George W Bush paid tribute to Mr Falwell, 73, who he said lived a life of "faith, family, and freedom".President Bush said both he and his wife, Laura, were "deeply saddened" by Mr Falwell's death.

"He taught young people to remain true to their convictions and rely upon God's word throughout each stage of their lives," Mr Bush said.

What's your answer?

FYI, GWB consulted with both of them, and the fabulous Rev. Ted Haggard, on many policy issues and none of the "righteous indignation'ers" ever complained. They may've taken their share of heat, but it wasn't from the ones who have their panties in a wad now.

This is so simple a caveman could do it...:lmao:

Falwell was not Bush's spiritual advisor and mentor for 20 years. Bush did not join Falwell's church, sit in that church week in and week out, donate $22K to the church, or appoint Falwell to a Spiritual Advisory Committee.

I'll discuss your president anytime I please. You're welcome to join the discussion or not.

Btw, the definition of obfuscation is: "The concealment of meaning in communication, making it confusing and harder to interpret." Doesn't look like there's too much confusion there. You just don't like the answer.

McCain spox Jill Hazelbaker says, "Hagee endorsed John McCain. While we welcome his support, it shouldn’t be seen as a wholesale endorsement of all of Mr. Hagee’s views."

someone care to explain the difference?

Hmm, not buying it.

alive and well, alive and well.:sad2:

You are right... allow ne to rephrase my response. If Bush is not your president it is a silly waste of my time to pretend to discuss anything about him with you. You are certainly right in correcting me though: you have as much right as you wish to discuss him.

Re. obfuscation... pardon me if I'm wrong, but isn't all this a tactic to remove the spotlight from Obama? You know... muddy the water, make it hard to get to the bottom of things, etc.

You must have been napping. (you're old, remember?)

No, Bush just consulted with him and this was after Falwell and Robertson blamed America for the attacks on 9/11. Bush also consulted with Dobson and Haggard regularly.

This Bush person you refer to, he is not your president? Then why do you care?

ETA: If Barack Obama is elected POTUS you can bet your bootom dolar he will be my president no matter what he does. I may have to rail against him, call for impeachment should he screw up, or grumble daily about his policies. But so long as I live and breathe, and he sreves, he would be my president. I will pray for him, wish him the best, and hope that the whole world would be proud of him (Just to let you know where I'm coming from an dhow I look at things)
