You need to look at who their "friends" are. Could they purchase equipment that could hit us or Israel or parts of Europe? You betcha!

If their friends are going to risk confrontation with the U.S. by going that far, they aren't going to let us attack Iran in the first place. Personally, I wish the Russians and the Chinese would get some ****s for a change and put this creep Bush in his place. And maybe sign a defense treaty with Iran. LOL. Talk about supporting totalitarian regimes, dictators and thugs--the U.S. supports all of the above whenever we can make a nickel by doing so. Pinochet ring a bell? Franco? Mobutu? Noriega? Suharto?

But even that's beside the point. Even if we had a record of only supporting stainless democracies, bullying, aggressive conduct does not become something else because the nation doing it is a democracy.

That's my point! There is no need for itchy trigger fingers on our part. Israel isn't going to sit idly by and Iran knows that full well. This is not our battle until someone asks for our help, if indeed anybody wants it at all. If we go out on our own and strike Iran we will loose any sliver of goodwill we have left in that region. We have enough mess to clean up as it is, we don't need more.

The USA not only supported totalitarian regimes for decades, it even set up many, i.e. Resa Pahlew in Iran.
And BTW, the last time I was in the USA nearly half the merchandise there was 'Made in China', which is AFAIK still a totalitarian regime. In WDW my guess would be that 90% of the merchandise is from China.
