Boma vs. Tusker house

We have never tried Boma, but we did do Tusker House for lunch in December. It was delicious. The buffet is huge with lots of variety and the food was really good. I highly recommend it. I believe the offerings at lunch are the same at dinner. We will definitely eat there again. (FYI - the breakfast at Tusker is excellent as well!)

I have never been to Tusker House, but Boma is a must do dinner for us. The food is delicious and unique, and it's a great excuse to go visit the AKL.

We've been to Boma for dinner twice and did the buffet at Tusker House for lunch last year. My dh who is a Boma fanatic thought the Tusker House lunch was a great substitute. I gave him the choice of Boma or Tusker this year and he picked Tusker House.

I think Boma has more selections, but the food at both is great.

We had lunch at Tusker House and thought it was o.k. and we had dinner at Boma two times and thought it was o.k.

Boma has some great reviews on these boards, and they do offer it seemed to me alot more unique choices.

We have done both and think the flavors of Boma are more out front than Tusker House. Tusker seems a bit more middle of the road in their spices and food choices compared to Boma. They had different soups at Boma than Tusker House when we went and different desserts.

We liked Boma but would probably choose Tusker House just for convenience and I can still get the Bobotie I loved. :)

DW and I visit Boma almost every trip to WDW and that is several times a year. We love the whole experience. Last week we at at the Tusker House Buffet for the first time and it may become my second favorite restaurant. The only problem with Tusker for dinner is that you have to eat early, since AK closes early. But the rotisserie chicken was wonderful, the salmon was delicious, they have a seafood stew (shrimp, scallops and mussells) that I could not get enough of. DW loved all the non meat choices, ie couscous, rice, and other grain dishes. We both loved the samosas. And the desserts were terrific. I agree that Boma uses the regional spices a little more, and has some great spare ribs (if you go on the right days). I would do Tusker for lunch one day and Boma for dinner another day. Best of both.
