I know Boma is much larger and has many more offerings but, for those that have been to both - What are some of the similaities and differences??

Thanks for your opinions!

Tusker House is a minny Boma. All of the food items are so similar. Tusker has a carving station just smaller. Tusker has wonderful flatbreads with spread just smaller. Tusker has great unusual salads just smaller. Tusker has a beautiful desert station just smaller. I always do Tusker House and get my fill. How much food can you eat anyway. I always leave full and happy after both Boma and Tusker and Tusker is much lower in price.

If you want to check out AKL, that is a plus for going to Boma.

We've done both (breakfast and dinner at Boma; lunch at Tusker House). If we were staying at AKL I'd definitely do breakfast at Boma again, but I wouldn't make a special trip to AKL just to dine at Boma (Jiko is a different story, I've made a special trip to AKL just to have dinner there!).

We really enjoyed our lunch at Tusker House and plan to have lunch there again on our next trip. We usually pay out of pocket for our meals, so if we like a restaurant we don't care if it's a counter service, buffet, table service, etc.

I know that a lot of people love Boma, but if I had to choose between them, I'd choose Tusker House. :)

I've eaten breakfast at both, so that's all I can compare. I find Boma to be very calm and quiet by comparison. Tusker House, with it's characters and periodic parades/dancing and singing to be very loud and bustling.
