what would you put in its place? If it makes any difference, I'm second guessing myself because I read a thread as to what's served what nights at Boma and Tue night didn't appeal to me as much as the other nights, which is when we're at AK and planning Boma.

We're only there for 5 nights...so 5 TS credits. Here's what we have booked:

Ohana - character breakfast
Cape May Cafe - character breakfast
Kona - dinner
Mama Melrose - Fantasmic package dinner

Thanks for the recommendations.

I would higly recommend Jiko's at AKL as an alternative. Jiko's is fabulous, plus you get to hang out at AKL for awhile. It's win-win.

I would love to do Chef Mickey, but they have no reservations...been calling for months. I'm only doing Cape May because my DD is a HUGE Minnie Mouse fan and she's there for breakfast. Last year we did all the princess stuff so am trying to skip that this year.

you should definitely do Ohana for dinner. It is so good. my DH and I love it there. Enjoy and good luck. Also Coral Reef is really good too.

We swithched Coral Reef for Boma.
Easiest way to describe Boma.
50 items.
All odd food.
Very africian inspired food.
Except for the Macaroni & Cheese, fries, chicken nuggets things..not for the picky eater!

Ohana Character Breakfast is our must do - its an all you can eat, but they bring it to you!! And Pluto when we were there last, was just so great with character interaction all around - so

I would Pay out of pocket (at $19 its the cheapest) and then go ahead and do Boma

Kona is a great meal too btw!!

We were just at Boma and both of us loved it. While there was a lot of new things to try, there were enough things that were plain that you wouldn't go away hungry if you decided you weren't adventurous enough. I wouldn't let the menu from night to night deter you!

I agree with the other poster who said that you should do O'Hana for dinner, we did and it was great, would do it again and again! :yay:

I would have dinner TS instead of breakfast, (but of course, that is probably because we are not breakfast people and are just happy with a bow of cereal). We lvoe Boma, my 10 year old is not very adventurous in terms of food, but that is the restaurant that she picked for our trip, it is her favorite buffet.

I'd keep Boma. We've only gone on Sundays, and I can't tell you what the menu was, but there was so much to choose from that I can't imagine the day to day changes at some of the stations will make that big of a difference. I knew when I reserved this one that I would love it, but I had doubts about the kids. Now they beg to go back on every trip, and the biggest Boma fan is my 11 year old whom I thought would tolerate Boma but not enjoy it at all. Go figure.

I think thats a really inaccurate characterization of the food there. Its commonly referred to by travel guides and food critics as one of the best restaurants at WDW. I don't think you could find a reviewer who would list any of the options you gave as even in the same category of dining. There are also a lot of american type foods beyond macaroni and cheese that adults would like. If you try boma you won't be disapointed. I also love Coral Reef though.

Here's a link to the boma rotation thread.
