Boma breakfast is great!!!

Sounds yummy!

I will admit to being clueless. Where is Boma? Is it an easy breakfast to do before a day at Animal Kingdom...even if you are staying offsite?

Boma is at Animal Kingdom Lodge and you can do it before visiting AK but transportation can be a challenge. We've always had a car or we stayed at AK whenever we ate at Boma.

I also love Boma. We tried breakfast just after Boma opened and I ordered the tea which was wonderful and it was all great after that. I've never been able to get into the bobotie but I like everything else I've tried. :thumbsup2

Boma is one of the best breakfast...great selection of food, yummy juice and awesome coffee...too bad we will not make it to our December trip b/c my son wants alot of character breakfast so we will go to Tusker House

OOOOH! Forgot about the jungle juice!:love::drinking1

I have wanted to try Boma ever since we stayed there in 2002. But we never got around to it. We will be having Breakfast there in just 12 days!!! :cool1:

Glad to hear that you liked it.

I am sooo looking forward to my Boma breakfast this upcoming trip and these reviews just make me hungrier!

We will be eating at Boma for the first time in about 2 weeks and are SO looking forward to it, especially after reading all the reviews!

If you have a car, very easy to drive and park at AKL then to hop over to AK. By outside transport, if your hotel offers transport to Disney go to a park and hop a Disney bus to AKL then you can take another to AK after eating. You might also inquire if the hotel transport can drop you at AKL directly.

I'm interested to know what goat cheese is and what does it compare to. It doesn't sound appealing but what do I know. :) Everyone here really likes it so I probably would too. Thanks for any information that can be provided.

Have you ever had feta cheese? I think that is goats cheese but is harder and doesn't melt like goats cheese does. Another comparable cheese would be ricotta but it has a stronger, richer flavor. It is crumbly and delish. You should try it, if you don't like it, you don't eat it again. I think this goes for anything and so I wonder why some people get so worked up about 'exotic' foods.

The goat cheese and chive eggs were seasoned well. Everything had good seasons. You could see the chefs in the back cooking the breakfast for the line. They don't carry it from the back to the line they are right behind the line. I had fresh waffles and hot of the griddle pancakes. It was just good.

WOW those sound GOOD! Thanks for your thoughts and cant wait to try Boma BF!!!

PS, did you find it out of the way as many have said??

The goat's cheese and chive eggs sound awesome. If anyone can get hold of the recipe that would be great!!

Otherwise, I will have to make do until next November. Hopefully, we will be staying AKL for part of the trip so Boma will be on my list for breakfast and dinner.

Does anyone have any pics?

Goat's cheese is almost exactly like feta cheese. It doesn't taste like cow's cheese but it has a slightly saltier taste and is more crumbly.

A buffet is a great place to try out new things, since if you don't like it you can just go ahead and get something else. Go on, live a little;)

im looking forward to going to Boma this September for breakfast heard great things about it can't wait :yay:

:rotfl: Soooo when I read the title of this thread, I thought it read "Boma breakfast is gone!" not great. :rotfl: I was a little surprised. My bad.

oh, how I'm craving a Boma breakfast right now!
It's a good thing I'll be there in a little over 2 weeks! I suppose Cheerios will have to do right now!

Trust me I am not one who will try alot of weird combination of foods. I said what the heck a little scoop will do no harm. Well it had a great flavor that I would not have expected in eggs!!!!:thumbsup2

You guys did not go wrong with this breakfast. This was the best breakfast I have had. The goat cheese and chive eggs were fantastic!!! Waffles and pancakes were fresh. I can wait to go again:thumbsup2:cool1::woohoo::dance3::yay::banana:

This sounds to good to miss! I have only done character breakfasts in the parks using the character breakfast bus.
Is there anyway to get to BOMA for a 8:00 or 9:00 am breakfast from POP?
Have an 8:35am adr for Cape May Cafe right now but not sure about transportation to the Beach Club either?

Any suggestions? :confused3

I think the easiest way to get there is to take a taxi. We usually rent a car but in the off chance we don't have a car while staying at Pop, we take a taxi to AKL when eating at Boma.

Otherwise, you would have to take a bus to AK and then from there take the AKL bus. It does take some time so plan accordingly.

We just came back from AKL, and we ate breakfast at Boma twice. I loved it. The food was very tasty. I really liked the goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs, and the sausage. The meats were good too (DS liked the turkey breast).
