I'll be in the magic in 10 days with my parents (and we think sis is staying with us too). I'm thinking about treating us for a meal one day and the easiest to get seems to be breakfast at Boma (easy enough to get there as we're staying at AKL). For those who have eaten there, how is it? Would you say it's worth it?

(My first choice was a lunch at Studios, but I had thought Sci-Fi as we've done 50's to death, and they appear to be out of reservations like the whole day we'll be in that park. SAD!)

We LOVE Boma breakfast, we think it's the best breakfast food wise at WDW. We ate there over 10 times on our last trip. We love breakfast and usually do a TS for breakfast every morning and Boma was our absolute FAVE! We were staying at AKL too so found it very handy, but even if we weren't the food was so good we would make the trip.

Boma is awesome we stayed at AKL last trip and also ate there multiple times. THe breakfast is great, they have all of the usual fare (eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, french toast) and some extra special African inspired items for those who are adventurous. It is really good, you will not be disapointed.

Thanks! I just made reservations for us for the Saturday morning of our visit! I'm so excited!!!!!!

Boma is great as breakfast buffets go. You can read a full review of our visit in my signature link - lots of photos.

We love Boma breakfast. Last trip we ate there twice, once on Dining Plan credits and paid cash the second time. Even our picky 8yo calls Boma "awesome", and that really is saying something, since Boma doesn't offer pizza! :rotfl:

You can't go wrong with BOMA. We had breakfast there 3 times last visit.
LOVE the jungle juice and the breakfast has something for EVERYONE.
GO, you won't be disappointed.

Again, thanks for all the advice. I made reservations for us for 8:30 on the Saturday morning of our trip! :) Very much looking forward to it!!!!

Just checked out your review - all looks great! We've been contemplating trying Boma our next trip - think we will!

And love the penguins for stars - my daughter is a huge penguin lover also!

Best breakfast in WDW or anywhere!! Always great food and the resort is just beautiful:thumbsup2

That would be our first choice for breakfast....yum!

Good thing this will be our next-to-last breakfast then! :) It's only not the LAST breakfast because I'll likely have to be on the Magical Express back before they're even open on Sunday. :(

Also quoting ajleone "Best breakfast in WDW or anywhere!! Always great food and the resort is just beautiful" (Sorry, I don't know how to do double quotes)

Yay! We're staying there too, so I'm extra excited!!!

We had breakfast AND Dinner at BOMA and loved both of them. Not only was the food great, but we had amazing service too. DW is allergic to Zuccini, so a cookc ame out and showed her everything that is safe on the buffet item by item. For Breakfast, we had Albert as our waiter, just to give you an idea, he's one of the few I remember the name of.

Boma is our favorite breakfast in all of WDW...I could eat plate after plate of their super creamy scrambled eggs and carved ham

A friend of ours lives near there and has tried almost every WDW breakfast and is of the opnion that Boma is far and away the best breakfast on property.

We'll be trying it for the first time in April.

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

Gotta say, this was really good!! My mom was impressed that I voluntarily had more than one serving of eggs - the eggs with goat cheese and chives are AMAZING!!! My dad had the plant protein, and liked that. The rest of us made faces at what it looked like. :lmao: I wasn't thrilled with the peppers in the sausage biscuit skillet thing, and I'm not a huge fan of curry in the morning, but it was good. Definite thumbs up!!!

And I have to send kudos out to one of the chefs working there. Sadly I don't know his name as he was past before I could see the nametag, but. There was a small girl a couple of tables down from where we were sitting who was upset about something. At first I couldn't tell what, but then the chef walked by our table towards theirs carrying a plate. He put if down in front of the child with a flourish and said "Your Mickey waffles, Princess!" Immediately the little girl settled down and grinned at him. Apparently she was on the verge of a meltdown because they only had "regular" waffles and not Mickey ones. He noticed what was going on and went to get her some Mickey waffles. I thought that was really sweet and definitely above and beyond.

I fell in love with Boma's when I was staying at AKL back in 2006 and I have to admit this Restarant was one reason I wanted to stay at AKL this trip, I love breakfast buffets and it is one of the best in my opinion, not to mention the house juice was fantastic !
