Boiling Water

This might sound strange but neither DH or I drink Tea or Coffee, or any other hot beverages so we have never noticed before if the resorts have a kettle or way of making boiling water?

We will have our 10 month old with us, and when we go out for the day we like to put boiling water into our thermos to make her bottles up when in the parks. How will we go about this at WDW?
We are renting points so staying in Studio Villas at DVC resorts if that makes a difference.
I know all the rooms have coffee makers, but can you just boil water in those?

If you boil water in the coffee pots at a DVC resort, it will take of coffee. You should have a few real coffee mugs in the cupboard in a studio. So you could microwave a cup at a time. The coffee makers in DVC studios are Mr Coffee style coffee makers with flat bottom coffee filters. Some are 4-6 cups, some are 10-12 cups. They are not the pod style.

I don't have kids, so bear with me. I swear I've read there baby care stations in the parks that could assist with warming water for bottles etc.

Are you doing formula? If so, another option is to try and get her used to room temperature bottles. My kiddos were fine with room temperature, which made it very easy! I just kept some bottles of water in my bag and the travel formula container.

I solved this problem by changing to cold bottles at at about 6 weeks. Over the course of a couple of weeks i heated the bottles less and less. The books said cold was okay. It certainly saves work especially when traveling.

You could purchase an electric kettle and bring it with you. I often bring my own tiny coffee maker because hotel coffee makers give me the creepers. 20 bucks at Walmart.

Yes, but you're not always near one. For us it is easier to put the warm water into a thermos and it's good to go wherever we need it.

She will only just tolerate room temp bottles, but will be fine if that is all we have. I think the Microwave option will be perfect anyway. I completely forgot about the microwave in the rooms.

Each park has a Baby Center. They have microwaves and other items to help parents. I haven't been. If you post of the board for Young Families they other posters could help you.
