BOG - subbing out sides

We have a lunch reservation at BOG and we are about to make our advanced order. Here's the thing: I would like to get the turkey sandwich, but I don't want fries and would prefer a side salad. Is there any way to do this?

Also, if subbing them out won't work, can I add a side salad separately even if it's not on the lunch menu?

Thanks for your help.

You cannot sub a side salad because there is no side salad on the lunch menu nor is it a side listed in the description of another entree. You can only sub a side from another entree (check the kids menu also), but many have posted that BOG is among the least likely to allow a wide range of choices so your options might be limited. The only salads listed on the menu are entree sized so you cannot sub them for the fries.

You can substitute fries by green beans only (They are delicious!)

Well poo. I know the quinoa comes with a little salad on the side which is why I was hoping they would switch; I had the quinoa last time we were there and it was good, but I wanted to try something else. Too bad they don't have a salad listed as a side on the lunch menu (only on the dinner menu).

So now I have to figure something else out. How delicious are those green beans?

They are flavorfull with onions and Bell Pepper. Not Too crunchy or soggy, just perfect.

When i ate my braised pork i leave pork and potatoes but eat all the green beans

On the lunch menu I see "Quinoa Salad" listed as an entree, but in the description there is no mention that it comes with an additional side salad. I would not count on getting something from the dinner menu at lunch at BOG because the restaurant has been pretty consistent in not serving dinner items at lunch.

The green beans are delicious! On our last trip, we did BOG lunch twice. The first visit, I decided to try something I had never tried before - the roast beef sandwich and the green beans. I still dream about both! My green beans had a little spiciness to it - not too much, perfectly flavored IMHO.

The quiche has a small side salad on the plate, only menu item that has a salad. It's not a separate item so can't be subbed on another entree.

I second the green beans as a choice, they are slightly crunchy and really good. DH hates anything green, but liked them instead of fries too. So many plates around the parks come with fries, he just wanted something different.

When you pre-order, as you pick each menu item it will give you what choices there are for changing out fries, no sauce, etc. These are the only modifications you can make. There is also a link for allergy ordering, but looks like it just deletes menu items that would have an offending ingredient. I didn't explore that feature very far.

I was able to switch my dessert for a french onion soup this week, even on pre-order. For the DDP they will ring it in as a dessert, then call the kitchen to change the dessert to the soup. If the kitchen is busy, I was told they might not get the message in time before your order goes out, and if the soup did not come just alert the server of the change and they'll take back the dessert and bring the soup. This did happen to me, just had to wait a few minutes for the soup.

It's listed as if they are made together, but they are separate from one another on the plate. I got this last time we were there. Yeah, I figured I wouldn't be able to get it, but thought it was worth a shot.

The quinoa actually has a little side salad on the plate as well, they just named it as if they were together. How "oniony" are the green beans? I get really tired of the fries and am used to having a little salad a couple of times a day, so maybe I'll have to use that as a snack at some point that day. But their dressing was really good ...

*sigh* turkey sandwich or quinoa ... hmmmm ...
