BOG new test lunch res online?

So tomorrow I have my lunch BOG FP+ ressie but have not received official invite. Has this worked for anyone who did not get an email invite but just booked through the link? TIA !!

thanks to the person who posted the link. I did not receive the official invitation to test the system, but went to the link about a week ago and was able to log in with our reservation number. I picked a time and the night before our meal I added our food orders. Worked perfectly! Our name was on the list when we arrived and we enjoyed a lovely lunch.

We ate at noon and the wait to get in was at least an hour. Disney had ice water available to the people in line and was passing out golf umbrellas because it was so hot.

We're staying at Poly (room only) and do not have magic bands. We also are not testing the fast pass+ system.

Same for us too! We did not have an official inite but booked thru the link and no issues. Our name was on the list too. We did not preorder out food but ordered when we got there. It took maybe 15 mins to get to our table and our food came shortly after. It was a good experience for CS and the food was good. It was nice to get out of the heat! Disluvr74 we must have been right behind you in the line! Felt bad for the people outside waiting. I would NOT wait an hour in the sun to get in here, JMHO.

Hmm. That's not how it worked for me. I entered my reservations # (sans letters) on the BOG lunch screen, and it popped up the dates of my trip as the only options I could pick to book a fastpass for BOG. It offered Sept 13th (the day we arrive) through Sept 19th (7 days later). But it chopped off the last two days of our trip, and it would not let me select anything for those dates at all. It wasn't even an option.

It was the same for me and my sister. it only gave us the option of the first 7 days of our trip.

I just wanted to add that the whole FP for lunch was a little chaotic. Our family members traveling with us just walked right inside without checking in and another party followed them in. They had FP too but no one checked or asked. Not a big deal, just sayin anyone really could have walked in saying they had FP and jumped the line. Just an observation...

Did you have to go pick up a yellow rose from city hall? Or just check in at the podium?

Is this only for specific dates? It lets me put in my reservation number, select a date, then my party then it tells me there are no fast passes available for that date and to try another, but there aren't any available for the whole week we are there : / it's the last week of October.

Think you are to far out.. Try not picking a date..
It defaults to today then gives you pick of times..

Just check in at the podium. :cool1: However, you need to be within your 15 min time frame.

If you order in advance, you have to pick up the yellow rose. We went twice for lunch using the fp+ invite. 1st time, we didn't order ahead, so we just checked in at the podium. 2nd time, we ordered in advance but missed the fine print about picking up the rose. When we checked in at the podium, the CM explained about the rose (which had your order on it and once activated, tells the kitchen to prepare it.) DH had to go pick it up at a stand by Mickeys Philharmagic.

Good to know. We are reserved and pre-ordered for early September, and the confirmation screen just says to check in at the podium.

umm interesting question. We ate there twice. Both times we registered by the podium that is in front of the BOG never went by Mickey's Philharmagic. First time we were NOT given any rose and just told to sit anywhere. Our pre-ordered meals were delivered directly to us. My son (who happens to be a CM :goodvibes ((at the studios)) said they knew our order and where we were sitting by the gps in our fast pass + wrist bands.

The second day we went back was a day they were having issues with the wrist bands park wide; we checked in were told we had to stand on the line to order but just go up to the cash register and show our room cards. At that point they knew our order and handed us the rose.

So based on our experience I would think that if you are part of a wrist band testing, even though BOG for lunch does not count against and of the FP+ you can get in the MK, your order will be on the wrist band and you do not need the rose. If you do not have any wrist band you will need to pick up the rose somewhere. Does this make sense to you?

This is what the arrival instruction say and we did pre-order ou meal:

Arrival Instructions:
Check in during your confirmed arrival window at the FastPass+ entrance to Be Our Guest.

This makes sense to me. Thanks for the info. You just answered a question that I had. :)

Must be different for fp+ users who are not magic band testers. We were at the Poly and received the invite email to test BOG, but weren't magic band testers. The email fine print did say to pick up rose before checking in.

I posted this on a new thread earlier, but thinking maybe someone here will know about the system and be able to answer:

I had a dinner ADR for BOG later this month. I gave it up because lunch just seemed to work better for us---more appealing menu, time wise with other things we're doing, etc. Anyway, was really excited about just doing lunch there and prepared to wait in the line for it.

Then the whole FP thing came up and everyone's been making lunch reservations. I've tried and tried and can't get it to work for me--and believe me, I've tried everything!!!!

So I'll be arriving at POFQ in ten days, hoping for a lunch at BOG on our last day. Is there any chance of getting a FP once we arrive at the resort? is that something they can do at the desk?

If not, how bad are the standby lines now that so many people are doing FP for it? Is it better to go really, really early or wait and head over around 1:30 or 2:00 for a later lunch? We're hoping to go on 8/30 and TP has it listed as only a 3 for that day, so not expecting huge crowds.

What do you all think? Any alternatives I haven't considered? What are my chances of having lunch there without waiting two hours?

This won't make or break my vacation but something I'm really looking forward to. I even convinced DS11 and DS13 to indulge mom in this one "girlie" thing since I don't get to do any of the other princess stuff!

We were invited by email to fp+ test the BOG lunch. We did it twice. The 2nd time, for some reason they charged our room rather than our DDP credits. We had to have guest services at our resort (Poly) fix it. While getting it fixed, the CM was asking how we liked the lunch, etc and it came up that we were invited to use the fp+ for it. She told us that the resort could schedule it also.

I don't know if that's only at the resorts where fp+ testing is happening or if it was only for those who got the invites, but it's worth a shot to check with your resort!
