BOG new test lunch res online?

Ate here Monday. Did not get email for fp but did through this link. Castle is beautiful. Food was good. Got the grilled ham and cheese and strawberry cupcake

I never got an invitation to officially sign-up for a BOG lunch FP+, but was successful in making a reservation using my MB confirmation number. I'll know soon if it worked. So excited to try this new restaurant! Thanks for the link.:)

How?! I'm 39 days out and i'm unable to make any FP+ choices:worried:
Do you have a My Disney Experience account set up with your tickets linked on there? When I linked my tickets, the FP+ became available, as well as the magic band ordering!

For those who have already done this and eaten at BOG, do you think it was significantly faster to pre-order? I'm trying to keep this a surprise from my daughter and I think I know what she'll want to eat but I'm not sure. If it will be significant faster to pre-order then I'll just guess....but if it's only about 10-15 minute difference, I probably won't pre-order.

It's much faster to preorder, but if you have to make a change to your menu when you arrive or if you are on the dining plan and want to add soup as a snack credit, it takes just as long.

Yeah I do. I linked my PH's and ordered my magic bands already. So strange. Perhaps I should make sure my tickets linked successfully.

Can someone help me figure out what i'm doing wrong?

I linked my tickets yesterday through MDE and linked them to the Magic Bands. I go to MDE, click on 'My Reservations' and notice that my resort and dining reservations are all there, but under 'Tickets and Passes' it says I have not yet linked any tickets. So I click on 'Link Tickets', enter one of the PH ticket numbers and it says, "Sorry, this card is already associated to an account." :confused3

What am I doing wrong? This is probably why i'm unable to make FP+ arrangements..

We didn't pre-order and I think we only waited 5-10 minutes to order. In other words, using the fastpass the wait didn't seem to be any longer than at any other place we had counter service meals when we were there. The food also came out very quickly. If I had to do it again, I'd do it the same way (no pre-ordering). YMMV.

I've been checking everyday to see if October dates have opened up. After signing in and selecting a date I'd get a message that nothing was available for the date selected.

Well, today right after I signed in I got the message "Disney FastPass+ / Thank you for participating. Please try again later. If you continue to encounter this message, you can seek further assistance at the Lobby Concierge desk at your Walt Disney World resort or upon arrival at the Be Our Guest restaurant."

Maybe they are updating the system with October dates? One can only hope!

Alas that is the message I got for our OCT trip when I tried a few weeks ago. I've never gotten anything but that.

Did your reservation show up with your other fast passes or ADRs? How did they know you had a reservation? I booked a lunch but it doesn't show up anywhere. I have a print out of the reservation.

How did they know you had a reservation? After I made our reservation I never got an email and it doesn't show on our MDE page, did you per-order?

Your lunch reservation is not connected to your fastpass+ or ADR's. They will ask for your last name at check in.

I wanted to report back that I used my ADR and had absolutely no problem. We got there at 11:15, checked in, took about 10 min to order. It was beautiful inside and everything we had was yummy - adults had the roast beef sandwich and the carved turkey sandwich, child had the meatloaf. Dessert was the chocolate puff (just ok) and the strawberry puff thing (really good). We'd def recommend it.

I just called Disney about this because I haven't been able to make a selection because my reservation # has letters. Anyway, they told me about the invite email and when I told the rep that I never got an email, she said she was sorry, but she couldn't do anything because it was an invitation only thing... Feeling determined, I tried again and I was just able to make our BOG fast pass+ selection! I didn't use my resort reservation number since it has letters, but I tried my MagicBands confirmation number and it worked! The only strange thing is that it showed my name twice and not my DH at all. Weird. When we were there in May, it only took about 5 minutes to get our food after it was ordered so I didn't pre-order our lunch. BOG is so nice I really want that extra time to just enjoy it. I'm so excited to not have to wait outside 30+ minutes this time! :)
