BOG lunch....

We've done BOG breakfast and BOG dinner and loved both of those. I have BOG lunch for our upcoming trip and I hope it's great. I think it will be fine. Could it be worse than any other QS at MK? I don't think so, or at least I think it's no greater a risk. And, realistically, in the rare times for us that something hasn't been right at WDW, I've politely let someone know and then it's been made right.

The big catch here is eating inside BOG, for lunch the food is ok, the Croque Monsieur is pretty bland I feel, I hear the real winner is the braised pork or the steak sandwich, I think for a quick service credit its definitely worth it altho I prefer breakfast at BOG.

I've been hoping to be fortunate enough for a lunch reservation to open before our trip. After reading all these posts, it's making me hope more and more.

We enjoyed BoG lunch. It was our first time in the castle and I had a dinner reservation for later that week, as well. For lunch we had the french dip, turkey sandwich, and croque monsieur. All were very good. We loved the Rose Room/Beast's room. It was very dark and ominous. :) It was a good QS option. After seeing all three rooms and enjoying a good meal, we decided not to revisit the castle for our dinner later that week and cancelled that reservation. We felt happy to have enjoyed the inside of the castle, but didn't feel a need to go back that week. :) If you just want to have a pretty good QS meal with some great atmosphere, I'd try lunch! We definitely glad we did! Have fun!

Repeatedly that the food was not great. I keep hearing the atmosphere is fantastic, just not the food. We have never eaten there and that is why I booked it.

Can’t say we are huge fans of the majority of WDW’s current CS offerings but do feel BoG has quality offerings for lunch. It and the plaza (which I consider more of a CS) are the only places we will eat in MK for lunch. When family is along, we tend to go with CP for the character fix, always find something decent to eat there.

Dinner @ BOG, well, it’s sadly been pretty dismal the last few go-rounds over the last 2 years. Most recent case in point - a child’s grilled cheese sandwich presented as a slice of cheese on cold bread, nothing melted. Naturally, sent back. Rest of table having entrees in place. Had to request crackers for GD to have something to munch upon while she waited for it to be prepared properly :sad2:Have an ADR for upcoming trip &, despite knowing we won’t be doing the new pre-fixe menu, honestly not sure if we will keep it or not.

It’s definitely worth dining in Beast’s castle once just to say you have done it! I went last summer for lunch because of the QS dining plan. I ordered the braised pork bowl and it was just ok. My boyfriend had the Croque Monsieur and it was so much better. I actually have an ADR for lunch there again this summer because we have the QS dining plan for our upcoming trip. It wasn’t the best meal we had for our trip, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. We’re only going back because we’re on the dining plan. It is a bit expensive if you’re paying out of pocket, but the experience and theming makes it worth it. :)

It’s a must do for us, sometimes even twice a trip if I have the time. It’s nice to take a break and sit and be served lunch. The french onion soup, french dip sandwich and strawberry cupcake is one of my fav Disney meals.

It's a nice place to take a break considering the unique atmosphere and also the beverage refill station. DH has tried several different lunch entrees which he thought were just ok, but we all agree the braised pork is fabulous, especially for a QS lunch.
