BOG lunch info??

Some people talk about pre-ordering their food - do you fast pass lunch at Be Our Guest or what? I'm confused.......

You do need to make an ADR for any meal at BoG - breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can pre-order your food sometime after that - I forget when that option opens and/or closes.

I believe its about 30 days before your trip. I can pre-order our lunches this week, and our trip is end of May/first of June.

We walked in bypassed all the people waiting to place their orders at the kiosks and was given a yellow rose. We picked our table, sat down and about 15 mins later all the food we had ordered showed up. There must be some sort of GPS in the rose which was cool for my kid too.

We pre-ordered 30 days out but you can't go directly through MDE...you have to go through the Disney website...it must have been easy to do because I figured it out myself (with some direction from the dis)!

Are they using roses again? I had heard of them, then by my late 2014 trip, food just magically found you (via your magic band). That was cool enough, but I thought the Rose would be a nice touch.

I have yet to figure out exactly when they decide to give you a rose or not. We have been 3 or 4 times (all with Magic Bands) and were given a rose one time and they found with with our MBs the other times.

My understanding is that the roses are used for those without magic bands so the server can find here location-not sure why they sometimes give them to those with magic bands as well?

We had magic bands but they still gave us a rose. Who knows but it was a nice touch.

We preordered that morning while waiting for rope drop. It was good since my kids change their minds all the time. We checked in and got a rose. A few minutes later we had our lunch. This was our favorite lunch.

you make an ADR just like you would any TS restaurant but for breakfast and lunch BOG is QS restaurant.

then any time between 30 days prior up to 5 minutes prior to your ADR time you can pre-order.
a pre-order button will be to the top right of your ADR in MDE.

i pre-ordered last year for my solo trip and i let the CM know when i checked in for my ADR and they directed me where to go and a CM there confirmed my order and i paid and then found a seat.

it saves you time if you pre-order because then you don't have to wait in any line to order your food at a kiosk.

when i went on opening day we got roses.
when i went in 2013, 2014, and 2015 i did not receive a rose i assume because i had a MB.
however i did see others with roses so i assume that the roses are for those that do not have MB's.
