BOG for Adults Only - Yes or No?

I went for dinner with another adult a few nights ago. I did not feel guilty. But apparently I'm the only one who didn't like it. I was seated facing the window with fake snow. We get a lot of real snow where I live; I don't need to see fake snow. When I turned around (to watch the Beast walk through the restaurant) it just seemed like a big room to me. Nothing special. We met with the Beast afterward, but the pictures they took using my phone are blurry. I haven't checked the Photopass photos yet. The food was not that great, and the grey stuff was not delicious. I'm glad I got to eat there once so that I don't feel like I'm missing something. I would not eat there again; I would rather spend the money toward either better food or a more fun experience. I realize I sound pretty negative; I just wanted to provide my viewpoint for OP.

Family groups dining are no more important than couples when booking dining. If it is an enjoyable experience for you - no guilt required!! :goodvibes

Dh & I 'always' have lunch at BOG every trip, sit in the West Wing and thoroughly enjoy it!

We are 'all' allowed to be kids at Disney!! (Well behaved ones, of course!) :D

When our kids were little, we prioritized Character Meals as part of our vacation - specifically princess meals. I've been to CRT PPO and same with Askershus. We had so much fun!

Last year just hubs and I went, and we didn't try for anything like that because I did not want to take a table and experience that a younger family would really treasure, plus we have BTDT. I don't feel the need to do this again right now. lol.

For our upcoming trip, though, I'm wondering about BOG.
Is this something adults will really like? Or is it best left to families with young children? I realize the ADRs are hard to get / impossible - but if it's something really worth going to - I will rise to the challenge.

I just ate there with my girlfriend and it's pretty much just a glorified cafeteria... that's also overpriced. Honestly, we were disappointed with the experience. We had just seen the new movie and Belle is her favorite princess.

I have done BOG dinner twice with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it. Its hard to really get my boyfriend into the Disney Spirit (I'm the big fan, he is just supportive) so when I was telling him about it he was like "Meh". The first time we went was in 2015 and let me just say we werent disappointed. He loved the food and everything about it so much that during out 2016 trip he demanded that we eat dinner there again. So for a non disney fan to love a place that much speaks volumes. Is it expensive? I think its about average for dinner cost in comparison to many other Table service restaurants. The ambiance is romantic and amazing especially sitting next to the frosted windows in the main ballroom. We enjoyed the food and bread service and each waiter we had was fantastic. I felt like It was different than most character dining as the meet and greet is in another room and the Beast just walks through quickly not stopping by tables which was nice.

I think you should try dinner once. I really loved it and it was worth every penny in my opinion. its also worth trying to find that elusive reservation.

I've never done lunch or Breakfast so I cant speak to those experiences but from what I see from the menu some of it feels overpriced for Quick service.

All adults here and we will NOT be going back for dinner.

Honestly other than a server took our order it was no different than lunch.

Same rooms, same tables, same crowds, same noise, same kids running about, same people walking around taking pictures, did I say same noise? If felt just like it does during the QS meals other than a person instead of a kiosk or preorder took my order.

Food delivered the same, wasn't anything special at all and even at our visit the only dessert difference was a hard cookie with grey stuff instead of cupcake, which was inedible. I mean why can't dinner and our DDP credit get us a better dessert than is offered for QSDP?

The Beast was there if that is a must do. I felt it was way overpriced for what I got (like breakfast) and from now on unless I can get lunch we won't be going back.

I went solo in January and loved it. This was the second time I'd eaten there (the first being lunch in May of 2016), and it seemed much quieter this time than at lunch. I had attentive service, the food came out quickly and was fantastic (ended up being my favorite meal of the trip), and I didn't feel rushed like I did at lunch, even though I was alone and eating at the prime dinner hour of 6:15. I'm going back in November with four other adults and fully plan on getting an ADR for dinner again.
