I don't know if this is posted yet, but now you know. People were complaining $55 wasn't worth 2 DDP credits, so they wanted to help you feel like it was worth it by raising the price. :mic:
And it doesn't matter when you made your reservation, you will pay what is charged when you dine.
For Cinderella's Royal Table, or anywhere you pay when you book, your price is locked in at what you paid when you made the reservation as long as you don't modify or change it, so price increase will not affect, as the tip is included in your prepaid price too. But only if you have already paid do you get price security.
I see people complain about BOG they made their reservation before the change. Doesn't matter. You didn't pay for it yet.
Have you noticed breakfast is now $28? Wow!

I thought it was weird that the new Snow White dinner was 1 credit at the same price as BOG. Figures they'd bump the BOG price at the same time.

Is that not going rate for 2 TS restaurants and 1 TS buffets/AYCTE?
I don't find that price worth OOP anywhere but on the DDP its fine by me.
I don't go to BOG for dinner anyways because I prefer lunch but if I were to go it wouldn't bother me.
And yes of course like any business they are passing prices on to consumers.
Its a business......
I'd rather have happier CM's than what I've had in the last couple of years.

They will charge what the market will bare. Since they place is always a hard ressie to get, they'll keep charging as long as people keep paying (this is pretty much Disney across the board)
The only reason we are doing breakfast here is b/c 1) it's prepark opening (so hopefully we can have a short wait for 7D) and 2) we got the SDP deal, so we have the QS DP for the price of kids.

Gotta pass that $15 an hour pay raise on to the consumer.

So let's do the math....

They are now making $5 more per head.

Since the servers are "tipped" the wage upgrade didn't effect them.

For the rest of the staff the upgrade in December will be $1!!! Yes folks $1!!!! So let's say they serve 100 adults at Dinner , they are making $500 more. Exactly how many chefs and hostesses do you think they have? Let's go with 10 and they worked 4 hours. That means it cost Disney $40 more dollars in my mythical scenario.... They made $460 And of course for October and November they get to keep the ENTIRE $500!

The payraise is NOT the issue here. That $15 doesn't kick in for 2 YEARS

If Disney raises the prices $5 a head for each of the payraise steps expect the following

Current $60
March 2019 $65
September 2019 $70
October 2020 $75
October 2021 $80 (Yes that's when the employees finally get to the $15 wage!)

BTW my friend just informed me its more likely that they are paying for the Fox deal with all these price increases.
Personally I'd prefer if Disney didn't keep buying companies but hey everyone else seems to want characters at Disney that belong to these other companies so I guess you can't complain if you're one of them.

I have not eaten at any buffet/AYCTE that is $60. Where is that? Only one I see is Akeshus.
The Fantasmic, Candlelight Processional, etc packages are in a different category.

We just got back 10/1/18 and the BOG prix-fixe was a big disappointment. We paid $55 each which would have been OK if the food had been good. We tried 5 of the appetizers and they were terrible. I thought the onion soup would be a sure thing but it was so sweet I couldn't eat it. The octopus was tough and fishy, the salad was blah, lobster bisque was not tasty. The steak was good and so was the bread. The thing that really bugged me was that they no longer put on table clothes and have the red napkins folded like a rose. We ate off a cafeteria type of wood table, it was not special. We will not be going again and I could not recommend it.

Thoughtful breakdown. Thank you. I would expect it to be more than that, as they raised churros 39%, Mickey ice cream and pretzel 15%,
large soda 29%, etc. (based on prices stated on WDWNT & Disney Tourist Blog.)

Wow. Thank you for your review. That is terrible that they don't even put on tableclothes, and the folded rose napkin was a nice, special touch. So, besides Victoria & Alberts, is there anywhere left that uses tableclothes? Does Monsieur Paul still use them? I don't think flying Fish does. I wonder why the onion soup was sweet.

It's annoying the price increased, but I'm not surprised. We'll keep our reservation for 12/30, but it's looking doubtful we'll ever go back.

Same here. We will keep our reservation next week, but that will be it for BOG for us. They can charge whatever they want, but we can choose not to go there. We don't eat very fancy at Disney world, or buy a lot of their stuff/merch
so I'll pay $60 for the experience just once. There are still a few places that are reasonable, not many though.

Monsieur Paul and Yatchsman use tablecloths. I know some of the other nice places in Disney Springs do.
