BOG dinner now $60 adult, $36 kids 3-9

I’m sorry but $60/pp here for dinner is way over priced for the food you’re getting. I mean the food was okay but really nothing to write home about and it should definitely not be in the same category as other signature restaurants on property- just not worth it IMHO.

When they released the price, I think everyone thought it seemed too cheap for the adult price. It was only a matter of time before the price went up. If it continues to be popular, expect the price to go up again. I don't think the adult price is bad at this level or slightly higher. But, I'd hate to be paying for several kids knowing what they eat and the price charged (at least our kids when they were younger).

I don't know if this is posted yet, but now you know.
And it doesn't matter when you made your reservation, you will pay what is charged when you dine.

We just got back 10/1/18 and the BOG prix-fixe was a big disappointment. We paid $55 each which would have been OK if the food had been good. We tried 5 of the appetizers and they were terrible.

Thank you for posting. We cancelled. We have eaten there before. The new menu had nothing on it that really appealed to me and nothing that my 12 year old DD would eat. We were going to do it anyway because we like the restaurant and letting the Beast- but not at that price and not at that quality. I wondered about the quality because in the past our dinners at BOG have been hit or miss- we’ve had really good and really bad.

The Disney website still says $55 so honestly if I eat there while it says $55 and they charge me $60 I’m going to question it. Of course I’m sure somewhere it says prices can change. But when I booked a dessert party and they charged more than the listed price they automatically credited me and I hadn’t even called them yet so they might honor then$55. That being said we aren’t going until summer so by then the price will prob go up more.

I will be doing BOG dinner this trip. It'll be just DD12 and myself and she really wants to do dinner here again so I will do it this time. If all 4 of us were going I would definitely cancel (the boys don't care where we eat as long as we eat!). We did dinner here in 2015 and liked it but not for $60 PP for four (Disney) adults plus tip. No thanks. I would take that money and spend it on a real signature. I see this being our last BOG dinner.

We are also doing lunch but I don't think that's so bad. But I do see lunch and breakfast going to some kind of prix fix meal even if it stays QS.

The website definitely says $60. I saw the change yesterday and am considering canceling my dinner ADR.

Wow, maybe seasonal pricing? Love be our guest , but if it keeps going up , this may be our last visit for a long time.

Are you possibly on the Canadian site? Lots of people have been having that issue where the site is somehow changing to the Canadian version so all the pricing is off.

Well I shouldn’t be since I’m not Canadian but I will say sometimes when I look at special offers for resort stays it shows me Canadian offers and tells me I need proof I’m from Canada. I don’t know how to even get the Canadian site since I just type in disneyworld.com but who knows lol.

Ahhhh I think I am in the Canadian site! I went under private safari and see completely different information. How the heck did that happen and why?!?!?! I do still see Canadian special offers when not in the private safari. I guess I’m going to always have to use private when on Disney site. I have no idea how to clear it to get me back in USA. How bizarre!

As lunch reservations are already tight, and IMO will only become tighter with people switching from dinner to lunch to get it in, I think you are right. Now that 2 of the three meals are prixe fixe, its just a matter of time...

I’ve harped on it before, but I can’t fathhom paying that much for my kids to eat Mac and cheese with a side of cantaloupe.

I’m just going to tell my kids we can’t meet the beast because *spoiler alert* he changed back into a prince.....:duck:

My adult kids who will be with us have offered to pay for our meal with their DDP after I complained about the price going up. Son-in-law said its an early xmas gift. lol
Ya know, its not the $5 I'm B****ing about, its the blatant greed going on here. But as long as we continue to pay it, they'll keep gouging us. No Disney for us for a few years after our trip starting tomorrow. And then we'll see.

Thank-you for that. I didn’t notice the language and changed it. That definitely modified the prices from 55 to 60.

So let's do the math....

They are now making $5 more per head.

Since the servers are "tipped" the wage upgrade didn't effect them.

For the rest of the staff the upgrade in December will be $1!!! Yes folks $1!!!! So let's say they serve 100 adults at Dinner , they are making $500 more. Exactly how many chefs and hostesses do you think they have? Let's go with 10 and they worked 4 hours. That means it cost Disney $40 more dollars in my mythical scenario.... They made $460 And of course for October and November they get to keep the ENTIRE $500!

The payraise is NOT the issue here. That $15 doesn't kick in for 2 YEARS

https://www.clickorlando.com/news/n...se-disney-workers-wages-to-15-an-hour-by-2021

If Disney raises the prices $5 a head for each of the payraise steps expect the following

Current $60
March 2019 $65
September 2019 $70
October 2020 $75
October 2021 $80 (Yes that's when the employees finally get to the $15 wage!)
I think your a bit off. Because they’ll have even more of an “excuse” in 2021 we could be looking at $85...

Dang. Makes $60 looks like a freaking steal...
