Much to my surprise, just for fun, I was checking dining for the first night of my trip. Let's see if there's availability for BOG in Magic Kingdom, I asked myself. Then it pops up. There has to be a catch, I said. Yup. The time was 8:45 p.m. So, needless to say, I'm not interested in eating that late on the first night of my trip, which is January the 31st, for anyone else who might be.

So far, I have done pretty well with my few ADR's.

I was playing with the idea of booking a breakfast my upcoming trip next week and just plugged in next Tuesday, 2 openings. So maybe either the C&D orders have made a difference or the newness is wearing off.

BOG breakfast has not got as good reviews as lunch and dinner so I think that may be helping things

We just booked our trip last night. We'll be there January 20-29. My daughter's ONLY request (more like begging) was to eat at BOG. We have never been to Disney before, but they watched the DVD that came from Disney and she saw the rose and just freaked! I was slightly stressed by the fact that our stay is less than 180 days out and that I needed to try to get an ADR. I tried dinner for every evening we are there, starting with the last day and working forward and wouldn't you know, I found an 8:00pm ADR for the 22nd. I am beyond thrilled. We are usually late eaters when it comes to dinner, so I'm mostly ok with the time. I was hoping for closer to 7, but just happy I got a spot. I'm going to continue looking for an ADR that's a tad earlier and on a different day (I really wanted to go to AK on the 22nd because it's crowd rating is a 1 for that day. We do not have hoppers)

I have eaten at BOG for lunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast would be fun, and the menu looks good, but It seems way more expensive than what I paid for lunch.

I booked BOG for December 9th for lunch. I was just playing around when I looked because I thought there was no chance, but there it was, a ressie available for 11:30 a.m. A little early, but I grabbed it. :-)

I was playing around today and found a noon lunch for our "open" day 12/11. We dropped the dining plan, so I am pretty excited to grab this lunch. At the 180 day mark all I could get was an 8pm dinner on our last night. When I heard it can take almost 2 hours for dinner I started searching for lunch. So glad I did!

Not that I want to talk you out of lunch, but don't let the belief that dinner takes 2 hours keep you from trying it! We've had dinner there 5x and it's never taken that long. That doesn't mean it hasn't taken that long for others or won't be the case for you (or even us in the future). But we're usually out in under 90 minutes, or 90 tops. For instance, in March our ADR was 8:45 and we walked out at 10:05, and we had apps, entrees and dessert.

You'll all hate me but I've always been lucky when it comes time to make my ADR's and getting BOG, and except for our upcoming Nov. trip I rarely book them at my 180. I did get dinner there for Nov; when we ate there in March, I went on the app around 4:00 and the 8:45 popped up. We don't mind eating early/late or not sticking to a normal lunch/dinner time schedule on vacation and it's easier to get reservations at the more popular places the more flexible you are. For our Jan. trip I stared looking for dinner reservations a few weeks after our 180 date and BOG was available every night, which is Jan. 15-20. and some nights the times were fairly early, like between 6:45 and 8. Booked it for one night :thumbsup2 not all 5 lol.

Good luck to those of you still looking, and to those of you with ADR's already, enjoy! We love it :goodvibes

If I didn't have DD5 to think of I would have kept the dinner. I think she'll get too restless lol

Well today I booked my flight, and I now have time to spend the earlier part of that day in the Magic Kingdom. I decided an early lunch at BOG would be fun. So, I checked the website, and I was able to get an 11 a.m. reservation. I think my friend Diana, who will be a WDW first timer, will love the experience. It's also nice to know that we can choose a selection off the child's menu, if we wish. I don't like to eat too heavy before a flight. Although our flight is not until 6. Should be fun.

We just decided three weeks ago on a quick trip for Dec. I knew there would be nothing available for BOG and since we ate there for breakfast and lunch just this past August, I convinced myself that I was okay with it. Last night I checked lunch for one of our MK days and got a 2:15. I really wanted something around 1:00, but I'm not complaining!

good grab! DW and I decided to do a last minute Thanksgiving trip and we were actually able to get BoG for Thanksgiving dinner! Also were able to get a 8:30am breakfast the Friday AM after Thanksgiving!! very excited

We didn't even try dinner for our xmas week trip but lunch was mostly gone too at 180 days. Snagged one for the wrong day and it's after DS usually starts his nap - hoping we can get one for Tuesday but given how packed the parks are that week I'm not feeling too optimistic.

Just tonight I was able to get an 8:30 pm dinner reservation at BOG for Dec. 10. There seemed to be a lot of availability. I just don't get how people never ever seem get what they want. I was also able to get O'hana for breakfast 8:00am! But I only pick one or two of the top spots on each trip. Most of my other ADR are for less popular spots.

You can order kids meals with no issues? Did you preorder online? I would love to do this but I assumed they'd tell you no.

Newbie here! I joined yesterday in hope of learning more about how to snag an ADR. I am going with my family for the first time the week of November 16 and I'm super frustrated, because I can't get any character reservations. Does the disney website have a way to alert you of openings? Any tricks or tips from those with experience? Thank you!

December 10th is a party night, you must have a party ticket to be in MK after 7:00pm. BOG recently opened a bunch of availability for party night dinners.

Keep checking the Disney site. People will cancel and you can get reservations a few days before.
