BOG Breakfast-How Many Trips Through The Mine?

So how in the world do you know when they release the next block? Would it be best to call or check online? I am sure that 8:00am slot is pretty popular so would you need to check daily then? Would be easier if I could make it 180 out
I heard about it right here on the DISboards. If you're active on here you should definitely hear about it! I had no troubles getting 2 8am breakfasts![/QUOTE]

Just like anything else it seems that DISboards knows things before Disney even knows LOL!!! Guess I will be on here on a regular basis until our trip

Looking at the Disney site it looks as if the calendar goes to Feb 16th and so does BOG morning reservations. My guess would be six months in advance since they seem to open the reservations up when they post the park schedule.

Yup!! These boards have been amazing for my trip planning! I make sure to check in every day!!

2 times Sat 8/22

8:00 ADR--nice little opening ceremony with the servers welcoming guests. We pre-ordered and got our food about 5 minutes after entering. Finished by 8:35, got in line, was about 18 back. Around 8:40 they started letting guests through the ride. We got in 2 rides before the RD crowd got there.

We really enjoyed the experience. Main St was empty and beautiful. We took our time taking pics and admiring the scenery and still got there before opening. The food was very good--much better than we expected. And getting to do 7DMT before RD was the cherry on top. We'd definitely do this again.

Fantastic! Can I ask what time you arrived at the Park entrance and when the pre RD ADR crowd was allowed inside?

Yes--We were staying at Shades of Green, across the road from the Poly. We'd been concerned about the monorails running early enough to get to our 8:00 ADR, but that wasn't a problem. We were told the monorail starts running at 7 on Saturdays, and that was accurate. We saw a couple of monorails already making stops there as we were walking to the Poly. We arrived at the Poly monorail stop around 7:20 and happened to catch a monorail that was right there.

We arrived at the park entrance around 7:25. We told the CM that we had a BOG ADR and we were directed to a queue on the far left where they checked us in with a handheld reader. We were in line by about 7:30-7:35 and probably 25th or so in line. Around 7:45 they walked us into the town square and from there we were on our own. We stopped to visit with a horse-drawn cart, get some pics on Main St and strolled down to BOG, arriving around 7:55. Everybody took their time & it was a very pleasant, laid-back experience.

When we arrived at the restaurant check-in, they gave us our RFID rose and directed us down to the entrance. We were 1st in line but definitely didn't try to be 1st. Like I said, everything was very casual. At 8:00 servers came out and they did a little welcome ceremony, then we were all invited in to applause, which was cool.

This sounds like such a cool experience! It might motivate me to get to our BOG reservation a little earlier...I think in June we arrived at the restaurant just after 8:00. Did they welcome you on the bridge or in the courtyard?

It was right outside the front door of the restaurant--is that the courtyard? I didn't know.

8/22- three times
This time I knew to expect the crowd plus I had moved over to the CR so arriving early was on my schedule not the busses.
In line we were towards the front edge of the store (FYI- I watched a family arrive and somehow bypass the line and get themselves into the store- when it was time to move into the park they must have gotten in before a couple of hundred patient non line jumping people BUT they did not get in front of me) and they held us in the underpass. That was dumb but whatever. My point is that even if you were to the front of the line you easily could have lost position because first there were the tap stiles which mildly reshuffled folks and then the underpass hold. We were held there for only a minute or two and then were free to go.
Definitely had photo pass folks out snapping away for families. One family flat out RAN to the partners statue but the people in their pic were the construction workers.
On Wednesday a CM forced us up the path at Merida. On Saturday no one was there so we continued straight (faster to BOG).
First in line for 7DMT and had the front seat with an entire train to ourselves. We told the operator more people were coming but he said we walked faster and just sent us on our way. Magical. Then two more rides before the mass of humanity arrived.

What store?

What store?
Newsstand.:)

The line for early ADRs goes from the Left Tunnel entrance back past Newsstand and back to the Mickey Readers.

It sounds like a guest who was in the back of the early ADR line walked past the line and forward into Newsstand and then steppeed outside Newsstand and into the line at that point in the line when they started letting the early ADR line enter MK-ugly "move" on their part.:)

Thank you to all who are sharing your experience, I'm hopeful we get to have a similar experience. I was not aware of the little welcome show, but I love that they do this-it's part of the magic I love about Disney. Do the pre-orders have to be in before a certain time?

Not sure about breakfast, but I preordered my lunch a few hours before eating there.
