BOG Breakfast-How Many Trips Through The Mine?

I thought I would revive this Thread just to make sure it is still "business as usual" for BOG/SDMT early rides.:)

We did it Sunday and all was business as usual. We got 2 rides in but could have gotten a third (at least) ahead of the crowds. Wanted to get to PP and Space before crowds so we went over and waited to be first at PP instead (around 8:50). We were on and off PP by 8:57 and did Buzz and Space with no wait next.

So glad to read these reports. We have two pre-park opeing ADRs at BOG in January. I can't wait!

Today- October 6- was able to get 2 rides in after BOG breakfast. Asked the CM when we got out where a small crowd was forming right next to 7DMT- he said he was waiting for the signal and within a minute or two said to the group that we could get 2 rides in before the masses got up there. After the two rides- it was a 30 min wait.

Today = ONE, grrrrrr.

8 am BOG, got out there and was held. Let in at 8:45 and was on first train out. By time we got off the standby line was filling and folks running from every direction. It was 8:55 so obviously they opened park at least 10 minutes before official opening. BEFORE park opened at 9 ride time was 1 hour and CM with back of line sign was by teacups.

10/2- SDMT had technical issues most of the day, so no pre-rope drop rides on it for us. However, PPF opened before rope drop got there. We rode that once, then were the first into Haunted Mansion, and after that were still in fantastic position for rides on BTM and Splash.

We were there 9/26 for breakfast and had one ride. We could've easily done two but the ride had mechanical issues so by the time we got on, the rope drop crowds had already joined the line.

Yes,Magic Kingdom Welcome is currently at 8:40 AM,so Guests are being let through the tunnels and down Main Street USA at 8:47 AM.:)

Well that is something for folks to factor in. We had the first breakfast of the day, ate fairly quickly, was outside waiting by CMs to be let on (to half empty train) so there was nothing we could have done to be able to get more than one ride in prior. We've only done rope drop a few times in recent years and never been let in earlier than posted time so I didn't expect that to happen.

Glad I kept my FP+ for the 7DMT. Almost cancelled thinking we would get in a couple rides.

I think you just got unlucky that day with them not starting the rides for BOG Guests until 8:45 AM.

The last time we went they started letting us ride at 8:35 AM and we got 3 rides in.:)

I guess the point is that you can have the earliest breakfast possible, an hour before opening ............... but you should not depend on getting 1, 2 or even any rides on the 7DMT, even if it is running already, before the masses arrive because all things will depend on what the CMs are doing that day. Good backup plan but I would never release a FP+ because I managed an early breakfast.

So is the BOG pre-open breakfast strategy still working out for being able to ride SDMT before the RD crowd arrives?

We were able to do the same thing with a pre-open breakfast at CP. Is there any reason it wouldn't work with that breakfast now?

Sunday 11/29 had BOG reservation at 8:10. Out by 8:45 and rode 7DMT twice before the masses descended. Had a fast pass for later in the day so hit the ride three times that day!

Thursday 12/4 had 8:05 CRT reservation. Out by 8:50. Only got one ride on 7DMT before line started. Again had FP for later.

The early reservation trick worked great for us!!

Dilemma-- when I booked our ADR for BOG breakfast, park opening was posted at 0900. The earliest breakfast reservation I could get was 0835. Now MK EMH starts at 0700! Needless to say, the 0835 BOG breakfast will be smack dab in prime riding time (Commando morning with a slower pace the rest of the day). I think I should ditch the ADR, since the park will (hopefully) be less than packed at that time, prior to the masses descending. Thoughts? TIA!

We were also there on 11/29. Just my wife and I. We had an 8:00 BOG and we got out of there by 8:30 and the mine train was already running. We got three rides in before the masses descended on the ride. For a second I thought we were going to get four rides but we came out and chaos had already ensued.
