BOG breakfast credits

Has anyone that's been for breakfast with the dinning plan know if you can order kids the adult meals?

There never has been a difference between quick service credits. That's not a recent change. The plan rules still say children order off the kids menu. I don't personally know what the kiosk at BoG will enforce.

This is not correct. As explained in a blog post on the DISBoards website http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/changes-taking-place-to-the-disney-dining-plans/ there was a known loophole that children's credits could be used to purchase adult meals but now it is allowed by Disney for all quick service credits be used interchangeably. This means an adult can order from the child's menu and a child can order from the adult menu. A quick service credit can be used to purchase any quick service meal regardless of age.

One of the most exasperating aspects of Disney Dining is that the are so many "unofficial" gray areas. I cannot imagine being a CM in some of these restaurants and navigating between official and unofficial information.

We know that there were ways to sub an adult entree for a child's option but fo our family, that would have meant splitting up and one of us keeping the little on while the rest ordered. More trouble than it was worth! Now she is a Disney Adult and still ordering off of teh kids menu! LOL! But we do have the Deluxe plan for one room and the little one in hat room will probably not eat a real dinner, so I would love it if we could "legally" use her credit for one of us. WE are so way over on TS credits! My family is one of those rule followers, but holy smokes! This time no one really knows the rules!

Sorry, supersnoop is right. It's still a gray area and a blog post can't be considered official from Disney. If you're dealing with a kiosk rather than a person, I'm guessing that the kiosk will not be able to tell the difference since all QS credits are the same.

We are going at free dining time so we decided to upgrade the twins to adults. The cost was really minimal, under $50 is well worth to avoid any sort of unhappiness over food.

We were there 2 weeks ago and ended up ordering just 1 meal to share. No questions asked. We enjoyed it and there was more than enough food for the 2 of us to share once the pastries were added in. There would not have been any problem ordering an adult meal for my DD though. Not once in our entire 10 day stay did I order a child's quick service meal for her. We shared 90% of the time and used our extra credits to exchange for snacks to bring home as treats for family and friends.

PS - We preordered our meals at BoG and would do that again in the future. So easy to do!

My son is totally on board with the kids crepes for breakfast but the kids lunch options weren't appealing to him at all. He wants the roast beef sandwich from the adult menu. I preordered it and if they wont let me use his credit for it then I will just pay for it OOP.

Yes. Upgrading only makes sense during free dining. Instead of $40/day, you just pay for an adult park ticket which costs $20 total.
