can make dining ressies starting tomorrow!!!!

Truly, how hard is it to get BOG for either lunch or dinner? Party of 3

Also, is MNSSHP truly worth price of admission? Gonna be at the parks that day so the thought of paying another $84 per person to do MNSSHP,...not sure

Convince me with your reviews and experiences.
Thank you

NO luck getting BOG! Up at 4:50 AM this morning (chicago time).

MNSSHP was very tempting to us, but opted for an extra day. Our 8 yr old is not a night owl. Opted instead for an extra day at the parks.

No joy for BOG here either, and I hit both the web site and phone as soon as they were available this morning. Hoping something will open up for us as it is the only ADR I NEED to make for our entire stay. My kids don't care which meal they get to eat there, they just want to go. I'd prefer a late lunch but at this point I'd take whatever.

I've had no luck securing BOG, but I didn't schedule our trip until after the 6-month window, so I knew we'd probably be screwed.

For our December 2013 trip (honeymoon!), the only reason we got a BOG reservation is because a DISer gave us her reservation. Otherwise, I doubt we would have succeeded in getting one. I've been checking daily this past week or so, multiple times a day, with no luck.

I was successful at getting a 4:55 dinner ressie for BOG but in September. For us MNSSHP is a must do the parade and wishes are fantastic but it is a non-park day. We will sleep in, hang out by the pool and rest at the resort. Our daughter will be almost 4 when we arrive so she'll need the rest to make it till the fireworks.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE MNSSHP! This will be our third year going down for it and I can't wait. The parade is really fun and the fireworks are amazing. We might do it twice during the course of our trip.

I agree with the others on this thread. MNSSHP is a blast and my family loves it. This year will be our 6th or 7th. Is it worth the price? I think so... you can get in as early as 4:00pm, and once the party begins at 7pm many of the rides become walk-ons, or very short waits. Throw in Halloween lighting, trick-or-treating, character dance parties, characters in special Halloween costumes, Disney villains, the Boo-To-You parade, Hallowishes, and a ton of guests in creative costumes.... it's a great time.

One of the more memorable events that happened to us was as we were going through Minnie's house a few years back, Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine followed us in and spent the entire time criticizing all of the decor AND my daughters, who were both dressed as Cinderella at the time. My daughters got such a kick out of it, as did I. :)

As for BOG... keep trying! Reservations will open up, just be vigilant.

I think I'm convinced about MNSSHP...now it's about convincing DH. We're already planning 5 park days in a row (Harry Potter for 2 - staying on-site for these), MK, MK, AK, and maybe adding the party the day before we leave. Too much? DD will be 8 1/2 and not sure her stamina will hold up. Also, how long can we wait before committing to MNSSHP tix? I know these are non-refundable tix and so much enjoyment depends on weather. Trip is in early October. P.S. This is our first family trip to WDW/Universal. Help/advice appreciated!!!

BOG has been booked solid on every mnsshp date I checked. I was really hoping to get it for Oct 2nd for dinner...no dice. Got CRT at 2:20 :/ only thing open so we took it

We got lunch at BOG. Still on fence with MNSSHP. We are going in October w/ my daughter's dance team that is performing at Disney. Very excited!

I've had no luck still trying to snag BOG for dinner on a MNSSHP night (9/15). I've checked every day, sometimes multiple times a day. Kind of crazy.

We are doing MNSSHP and I am soo excited!! We are just not doing a park that day and going at 4 for the party!! When I logged in on my 180+ it didn't have my whole stay where I could make our reservations and then late that afternoon it was on there I managed to get BOG on a non party day for 9:05pm dinner :( REALLY hoping to get something better because that is so late but at least I got something.

Its very hard to get BOG!

Regarding the party: One year, I bought tickets to the MVMCP about 3 months prior to our trip. They were only $50 then, but I was with a party of 6. $300. After about an hour of being at the party, it started to rain. Then pour. Then Tsunami. Never let up again. They still had an indoor dance party at a couple of locations, but they were so jammed packed you couldnt move. No refunds due to the party starting, and the dance parties. Never again will I buy that far in advance. I wait until Im there and check out the weather for the week. If we get in, we get in, but if not, we dont! So far we havent been denied purchasing tickets. I think maybe super close to Halloween, it might be harder, but we went the beginning of Oct. both times.

Me too :( I originally booked 09/17 - 09/26 and had all my reservations, including BOG. When free dining was released, I changed my dates to 09/12 - 09/21, so had to rebook almost everything. BOG was no longer available for any date, and I was really hoping for the party night. Oh well..I saved $1700 on our trip. That is worth not trying some grey stuff!
