If we use body glide, then put on socks and shoes, then later wear sandals barefoot (or say, crocs), will the body glide come off on our socks and leave us "glideless" in our crocs? We want to switch footwear during the day.
Thanks!

Bodyglide stays for quite awhile, but I would reapply when changing footwear, especially if you've been sweating.

Thanks Kim. I had a feeling. That means we'll carry it into the parks. Was trying to pare down but that won't be heavy and I'd rather not get blisters.

I bought Body Glide at Eastern Mountain Sports. The clerk that sold it to me seemed unaware of its potential. In the 25+ trips we've made to WDW I have NEVER escaped without at least 5 painful blisters on the bottoms of my feet. I have tried all sorts of things from expensive Mephisto sandals to Crocs to moleskin and blister pads. Nothing worked. February we made our usual pilgrimage to WDW and this trip I used Body Glide. I appleid it liberally to the known problem areas on the bottom of my foot. Wore socks and sneakers the better part of the trip. Wore Crocs once during a period of rain and then siwtched back to sneakers and soks. This is the first and only time I have not gotten incapacitating blisters. Did get one on the ball of my foot. Not a usual area. If you are prone to blister I strongly recommend this product!!! I would become their spokes person if I could!!!

REI sells it online. I haven't used it but will on my trip in May. I understand you apply it to prevent rubbing that leads to hotspots and blisters. Other people will prob know more than I.

Wow! Now I KNOW I will be buying some. :thumbsup2

I used to always get blisters and hotspots from chafed areas that made my vacation painful. I've used Bodyglide for the past two years and it truely is a lifesaver. I bought mine from an Ebay store. I've also seen commercials on TV recently for Monistat (I think) that has a gel to prevent chafing and blisters. I know that Bodyglide works for me so I'll be sticking with it.

Consider this post the shrine to Body Glide. We spent 8 days in the world last May and DH nor I had any problems with chaffing or blisters because we used Body Glide. Once you get past asking the 17 year old at the sports equipment store for "Body Glide" (and crossing your fingers that he knows what you are talking about and doesn't say something like "no ma'am, they only sell things like that at the adult store") it will be the best 5 or 6 bucks you spent. After seeing all those people, kids especially, walking out of the parks at the end of the day with their legs bowed because they couldn't bear the pain of their thighs touching, I wanted to rent a banner plane and have the banner say just those two miraculous words "BODY GLIDE!"

I just ran out on my lunch hour and picked up Bodyglide at EMS. I really hope it works. Can you put it on kid's feet?

What is the thinking behind changing footwear during the day? If you are toting around extra shoes for everyone, perhaps you could stow the bodyglide in the shoe?

I purchased mine at a local store that sells "running shoes" and other athletic wear...I just called up to see if they sold it...I used it for the first time last week at Disney...AND for the first time EVER...I had no blisters....I put it on in the morning...but, I hadn't changed shoes until I took them off at night..If I were to switch..shoes in the middle of the day..I'd probably apply it again...I absolutely love the stuff! :worship:
