So, I called the boathouse to book a dinner with the dining plan.
They took the reservation but details on how it will work with the dining plan are still up in the air.
From what I hear, details are still being worked out but they told me (they think):
- Signature dining (2 credits required)
- Certain meal are excluded
- Some meals are "serves two"
- Some dessert are "serves two"
- No side dish is included.

Not sure if I will keep my reservation. Waiting for more details to come out. Has anyone here hear any more details?
Thanks

Hoping to find this out too... I booked a reservation in September, but have a backup just in case.

So far disney is calling it upscale and dining plans are not participating. Who knows when or IF that will change

Hate that is 2 credits :O(

This was mentioned on the podcast the other night. Looking forward to finding out more details. However, having seen the layout of the place, I would be really disappointed to be paying 2 credits and end up sitting in the first section of the restaurant.

On the Disney website the menu at the Boathouse is the same for lunch and dinner. On All Ears Net, the menu is different for lunch. My real question; is lunch and dinner both 2 credits? I'm not going to spend 2 credits for lunch if my options are sandwiches and salads when the dinner menu includes steak and lobster.

The Boathouse is a huge restaurant, it's at DTD, its 2 credits, and there aren't a lot of spaces for booking through Disney so most folks will just not bother. Book through OpenTable or directly with the restaurant. And yes, it's 2 credits for both lunch and dinner. A 2 credit restaurant is a 2 credit restaurant, no matter which meal you eat there.

Thank you for the information. I have reservations in November. Do you know if the menu is different from lunch to dinner or is it the same menu?

Has anyone had dinner at the Boathouse - on the dining plan? if so, what can you order? what can't you order? I've heard so many different stories..... like some items on the menu are blocked off, side dished are out of pocket....

Side dishes are OOP.
Salads are OOP.

Items that are "for two" or "to share" count as the app/entree for two people.
