Boat to WL open after MNSSHP?

I posted a similar question on the resorts board, but thought I could get "expert" travel advice here. We originally planned on staying at AKL for one night on the first evening of MNSSHP. However, after a CM assured me that boat transportation would be open until the party ends, we changed to WL (have never stayed there). However, someone posted on my original post that they stayed at WL for last year's MNSSHP and the boats were closed, making travel back to WL a "nightmare". So now I'm considering changing back to AKL. We will have two toddlers with us, so any added convenience would help, considering this will be a late-night.

We rode the WL/FW boat back after the party this last October. They did announce that the last boat would be 45 minutes after the regular closing time, but we asked and they said the boat would be running after the party.

Last year the boat ran untill 45-50 minutes after the end of MNSSHP. The little launches between the resorts stop running at 10pm.

I know because we sat on the dock at the CR waiting for a boat that never came. We walked back into the CR when we saw the sign last boat between resorts is 10pm. It had fallen off the stand. We walked to the MK and took the bigger boat back. The one with the green flag.

If for some reason you can't get a boat to the WL, if you take the monorail or walk over to the Contemporary and then get a cab to the WL it's only a flat $5 fare.
