boat to Downtown?

I have read conflicting reports about this one. Is there or is there not transportation by boat to Downtown Disney from FW? Some tour books say yes...some don't say and I cannot tell from the maps.

there is no boat transportation to Downtown Disney from Fort Wilderness, to get downtown you need to take a bus to the TTC then transfer to the Downtown Disney Bus.

There is a boat from Port Orleans thats goes to Downtown Disney

The boat from FW goes to the Magic Kingdom and a couple of MK resorts.
