Boat service from parks

Is the ferry service between parks and resort dropping you inside the parks? ie, do I need to have a valid park ticket? or does it drop you just outside the park?

We were thinking about using them to hop between resorts for several off days.

All the MK boats drop you outside the park. You don't need a ticket to ride them. I don't know abt the Epcot/MGM boats but would have to assume it is the same.

The Epcot and MGM boat is outside the parks. No park ticket is required.
