Boat rental question

Can i rent a boston whaler or a couple of sea racers at, say the contemporary, drive it around for an hour and then drop it off at wilderness campground area where we have a hoop dee doo reservation?
Is there a marina close to HHD?
Just looking for a different way to enjoy getting to HDD.
There will be 3 adults and a 4yr old.

No.Watercraft have to be returned to their "home" Marina.

Thye cannot be docked,even temporarily at another Marina.

The Fort Wilderness Marina is 2-3 minutes from The Hoop.

Unless things have changed, boats have to be brought back to their original resort.

Being an avid boater, I find that this activity is one of the few activities I have zero interest in at Disney -- yes, we take the launches and friendship boats every opportunity that we can, however, there is basically no where to go in one of the little Sea Racers or Whalers that I would feel worth it. There is so much Disney boat activity on all their waterways, I'd be afraid of getting a Disney ticket for doing something wrong.

Agreed tom, but as we dont boat at all, other than a canoe, I decided to cancel an expensive crystal palace dinner with tigger and pooh and try a liesurely cruise around the 7 seas checking things out from the water at my pace.... A treat for 4 yr old GD, DW and DD
Probably A one and done for me too.
May convince the wife we should buy a boat ... lol

That sounds like it would be an enjoyable time -- I would highly recommend doing it as early as possible before the waterways open up for too much business -- there is a lot of traffic on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon once the ferries, launches, and cruisers are all out there!
