Boat from MK to Fort Wilderness ?

This is kind of an odd question, but I haven't rode the boat in years. When you take the boat to Ft Wilderness are you close enough to see the top of the castle? The reason I'm asking is that our first night we are going to the BBQ, and won't be going to MK until the morning. This will be my daughter's 1st trip, and I kind of don't want her to see the castle until we're going there. I don't want to ruin the moment of awe. I'm thinking that we may take a taxi instead, but I would rather not spend extra $ if it's not necessary.

OP...it sounds to me like what you're doing is taking a bus from your resort to MK and then the boat over to FW from there?

There may be places along your route that the castle is visible. At the very least, there will be pieces of the MK visible.

You didn't mention where you are staying, but what I would do is get to the closest park and then take a bus from there to FW. I think that would be the safest way to avoid ruining the surprise.

i can not remember about seeing the castle but you are right at MK to get the boat. if you would take a bus, you would need to come from a park and then catch a campgound bus to BBQ. the campgound bus would also be needed if yoou would take a taxi.
