What's the best rate you have ever gotten at the Boardwalk Resort? We want to stay there this August when we visit Disney for a week but there are no codes available that far out right now and the lowest rate I can find is $269 a night for a standard view which is higher than we can afford. Also, anyone have any comments on this hotel?

I really liked this hotel. We actually rented points from a DVC member and stayed at the Boardwalk Villas last Nov. We liked it so much that we bought into DVC via resale when we got home :) Our "home" resort is the BWV, which is great because this is a neat hotel in a great location. I highly recommend renting points from a DVC member. You will save a bundle AND get "home away from home" accomodations :)

I recently reserved a standard room there for $239/nite. Check Mousesavers.com for the codes as I don't remember which one I ended up using. I gave CRO two codes and one was $10 cheaper than the other. Ask for a garden view rather than a parking lot side. We only paid $139/nite after 9/11 on a last minute trip. The most I paid was $469/nite for a water view that wasn't nearly as nice as the garden view at $139. If you get a room above the valet area it can be quite noisy all night.

We stayed at BWI in January for $175 /night plus tax. That was with the Annual Pass discount for a standard view room. I have already booked another stay there for October (we are renting points) and it is about $120 per night for a studio. It is a beautiful resort and you will love it there!

I got an AP rate of $169 plus tax in early December last year for standard view.

We payed $235 last year early Feb. as part of the sunshine get a way pkg. Oh, should add that was for a water view.

We stayed there last week. We stayed in 2223 a courtyard view. If you have a standard room and want a view of the fireworks at Epcot don't get this room it faces the wrong direction. I asked for courtyard view and uppermost floor. Well this part of the hotel is only 2 floors not 5. We didn't get there until 10:00 pm and the CM said all the rooms are assigned out at 9:00pm. Maybe asking for 5th floor courtyard would have been better. Oh well I was just trying to avoid the parking lot view, it was a very quiet room and by using the end stairs we avoided having to walk all around to get to the boardwalk.

I am an owner at the BWV's too and suggest you look at the rent/trade board as chrissyk suggests to see if you could rent some DVC points. Here is the address:

If a studio is available, at the going rate of $10.00 per point you could get a room for $130.00 per night at the end of August or $140.00 per night at the beginning for a Sunday through Thursday night. Plus you pay no tax on the room.

Hey, Happy Birthday Cat...I'm a fellow Mainer:p !! I love the idea of $130 a night for the Boardwalk and tried to read about how to rent points on the site you suggested however I cannot open the page with the information. Could you explain briefly how I could rent points to ultimately book a room at the Boardwalk in August? This is a surprise trip for my hubby who turns 40 the day we arrive and we've always wanted to stay at this hotel so I'm really interested in your suggestion. Thanks
