I was just wondering with all that there is to do at BWV, what is the noise level like at night coming from Jellyrolls, the Dance hall, and the rest of the boardwalk?

We found it noisy, but not insufferable. I think it depends on what you are used to and how busy the BW is. We were there during baseball playoffs, which made ESPN particularly busy, and caused a few late night celebrations on the BW as teams won. We were on the second floor, however. It was significantly less noisy than the hotel room I stayed in near Fisherman's Wharf in SF.

If you live in a city or are there during a slow season or stay out late yourselves (we were trying to put kids to bed at 8:30 - with fireworks going off at 9:00) you probably won't notice any noise. On the other hand, if you are there when the BW is really hopping and trying to fall asleep at 10:00 pm and live someplace where the loudest noise is the frogs, you might think its noisy.

It depends on your view I think. I had a view of Luna Park. I hated it in the morning but after 9:00 it wasn't bad. A community pool view would probably be even quieter.

We had studio 4031 a few weeks ago, which is just above the Big River Brewing Co close to which are games arcades (they became known to us as 'Disney's licence to print yet more money'). Those games can be noisy at night - especially the one where you 'lob a lobster'.

The room was great, with a fantastic view and we loved it, but for light sleepers who turn in early, it might be a bit a problem.

Whenever we had boardwalk view rooms, they were usually over the Art Gallery or the Grocery Store. To be very honest with you, the noise didn't really bother me. We had no problems sleeping.

In February we had a 2BR Stanadard View on the 3rd Floor. It was very quiet. Especially with the doors to the balcony closed, it was as quiet as any WDW room we've ever stayed in (including OKW and Dixie Landings). When the balcony was opened, the loudest sound was generally the ducks on the pond three floors below! :)

If you are someone that goes to bed early(i.e before 10 PM) then you may be bothered by some of the boardwalk noise. However usually once the balcony doors are closed you can not hear a thing. Also all boardwalk activity ends by 11 PM. After this you may hear an occasional group leaving one of the clubs but is generally very quiet after 11 PM. We have stayed in a boardwalk view villa numerous times--we love them--and have never been bothered by noise.

I find the noise issue at the BWV is way over rated and repeated often by people who have never stayed there.

The fact is that the vast majority of rooms face areas that are quiet, especially in the evening and at night. If you are in a standard view room or a preferred, non Boardwalk view room then you are going to face a quiet area of the resort. If you are in a Boardwalk view room, yes it could be a little loud at night but that person is also choosing to accept that room. If noise is an issue, then that member shouldn't reserve a Boardwalk view room and instead opt for preferred view when making the reservation.

We stayed on the second floor right in front of those games with the ringing bell and lobster pots in February, it was noisy. Some yelling at 2AM and those games make a lot of noise when my kids were trying to sleep. We will not stay in a BW view room again. If you don't have young kids that are in bed by 9 or 10, then it is probably not too bad.

I have stayed on the second floor over the last door of the General Store, and on the 5th floor down near Jellyrolls and didn't find any bother from any noise either time.

And one night I went to bed at 7:30 (up at 3am to fly down......)
