Has anyone stayed in a villa that overlooked the Village Green? Did you like it? What were you able to see?

I assume these rooms are in the Preferred-BoardWalk category of rooms. Does anyone know what the room numbers are?

Thank you!

We had a studio right over the walkway that goes between the arcade/health club and bathrooms (next to Wyland Galleries). We could see the boardwalk and the boat dock and often the boardwalk entertainers played right under our balcony (we were all sick and didn't really enjoy it.....but had we not been feeling rotten it would have been cool!).

I'm not sure of the room number, but if I come across it later I'll post it....(might be among my scrapbook stuff...)

Dreaming,
I stayed at 5001 this past month which is the very last room near the Jelly Rolls side. When I got off the elevator, the sign said "rooms 5001 - 5066". Hence, those rooms begin with xx066 and count down. I'm not sure what the room number is for the first BW view room after it makes the turn from the green.

I hope that makes sense or helps.

Thanks. :) I'm starting to get an understanding of the location of these rooms. I've started writing down all the BW View numbers, what type they are, and where they're located. I figure by the time my trip comes around next year, I'll have a nice collection, and will know exactly where my villa is before leaving the front desk. ;)

We stayed in a Studio/Plus right above the Wyland Galleries on the 2nd floor. The view there is of the "Green" and the Crescent Lake area (marina, BC and Boardwalk area).

While our balcony did sit beneath the covered walkway, I didn't think of it as being "obstructed". We watched CM's set up the BWV Christmas Tree on the Village Green early one morning.

Noise was not a problem, even being under the walkway area. We did hear some delivery workers early in the AM, but the sound merely reminded us where we were. :)

The first two times staying at the Boardwalk we were in one of these rooms. We loved it. You really felt like part of the action. We could look all the way down the Boardwalk from Flying Fish to the ESPN club. You can also see Spaceship Earth in the Distance.

We were spoiled after the first two stays and have yet to get a Boardwalk view again, and probably never will with the new request guarantee they have now.

Thanks, Doc. Do you recall if you could see IllumiNations from your balcony?

Yes, we could see Illuminations (higher fireworks displays only) from the balcony.

Sorry, I don't remember the room number. :(

Cali, just thought i'd mention that i'm pretty sure Boardwalk Village Green views are all odd-numbered rooms ranging from
x051 to x065

room# x065 is the end closest to the elevators/lobby.
x051 is the closest to the general store.

there are many Studio Plus rooms located in this section. (we've been in 2 of them)
hope this helps!

Dreaming,
5001 is a dedicated 1 bedroom, non smoking.

We had a fantastic view of Illuminations.

Also, real important in hot steamy July, the Balcony is shady in the afternoon (like all the other BW views). It was an incredible vacation moment, sitting outside at dusk, watching the people, waiting for the fireworks.

I felt like shouting to the people below who were walking into the DVC sales office," Just buy it, you won't regret it, look at me!!!"

Yes they are considered Boardwalk view. When we checked in they confirmed that the view was a Boardwalk view, and I was a bit disapointed when we got to the room and saw that it was of the green, but it turned out great. We loved it.

So yes, I imagine that it is still considered a Boardwalk view.

Are these rooms overlooking the village green considered "boardwalk view"?

Yes. You can see the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake from all of those rooms.

BW view begins with the "Village Green" rooms above the shops on that side and extends to the DVC sales center area next to Jellyrolls. Basically, any room that has any view of the Boardwalk itself.

Enjoy!

I think we had the same studio Doc was in.

It was cool to watch the goings on.

Once in a while it was loud but not often.
