never have stayed at BWV....got preferred view studio at 7 months and waitlisted for bw view....totally pumped

You'll love the boardwalk view. You can look out over the boardwalk and see all the activities happening, especially at night. If you are in one of the far villas, you can see some of the Illuminations fireworks. I love getting up in the early AM to drink coffee and watch the sun rise over Spaceship Earth and the Boardwalk/Yacht/Beach Club area.

Oh, I can't wait to do that (well maybe not the waking up to see the sun rise)! We are staying in a 2 bedroom at BW and got a Preferred Boardwalk View for our one night pre cruise in August (not Disney).
It is a surprise for my dd who will be bringing a friend for her Sweet 16 cruise and my dh, since it will be a few weeks before our 20th wedding anniversary. They think we are staying in a one bedroom at the Raddison at Port Canaveral.
I will tell them all on our way to the airport.

Sounds wonderful! Hopefully, we will be able to stay there one day! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

I would enjoy a dumpster view at Boardwalk - that's how much we like the place. Regardless of view, you will have a great time.

We are staying at Kidani right now and, although we are enjoying it immensely, we went back to stroll around Boardwalk yesterday. I jogged around the lake 4 times (about a mile each lap) and kept telling myself that "next time" we'd be at Boardwalk again.

I used to be able to sleep late but for years now, I am usually up at 5:30. Agree with Mickey'sApprentice that one of my favorite things of a BW view is seeing the area come alive in the morning. The anticipation of another day ahead of us at Disney.

Have a great time.

We are staying at BWV in a BW view room in May. I waitlisted at 7 months and the waitlist came through in 6 days. We love the BW but this is our first stay in a BW view!!!!! Have a great trip.

What rooms do you mean when you say "far villas"?

My DH and I are going on our first kid-free vacation since our honeymoon at the BW 11 years ago! We leave a week from Wednesday! CAN'T wait!

I have a preferred view (garden/pool). I have speculated which rooms we might be able to catch a glimpse of spaceship earth or Illuminations by looking at the map. I am curious as to which room you had!!

TIA!

And congratulations to the OP on the waitlist! I am going to be calling on the 28th (our 7 month window) to request the same!

The "far" rooms I was speaking of are the ones in the "Crest of the Wave" area and the ones next to that section. It's next to Jellyrolls.
